  1. The cause is usually bartonellosis. Have them tested for bartonella and have them treated w azithromycin or doxycycline for at least 21 days. This bacteria is more common than most people realize. It can also be transferred to humans. It causes a plethora of diseases and disorders in our pets and in people. It's undiagnosed and misdiagnosed exponentially.

  2. I use Ivermectin behind my Guinea Pigs ears every 4 months after their Grooming. Shaving, Baths I place a drop behind a ear to fight off Pests that Piggies can get, lice and fleas. I've had my GP's 7 years and no itching!

  3. Only thing is.. ivermectin kills heart worms. So if your dog is heartworm positive, the ivermectin at that dosage would kill a lot of heartworms and possibly kill your dog . That's what I was told by my vet. So before starting, I would definitely get your dog a heartworm test done.

  4. My dog has chronic dry eye. She produces absolutely no tears without the $150 drops I have to buy every 3 months. I'm assuming it's an autoimmune response. Is there an alternative treatment I could look into?
