Bit late to the party, working through old vids between the new ones. I really rate pumice instead of perlite, bit spendy but it lasts for ever and just keep amending that soil. Build a soil is a weath of knowledge 👍
Well..Poo Farts….;<..I followed links to purchase (super excited to try) and the Amazon was gone, and the H>Hero site doesn't ship to my state totaly bummmered!!;<
Silica helps enhance cell walls which makes the plants more resistant to pests that bite and chew as well. Another bonus of silica’s strengthening power is when it comes to low stress training or even some high stress training. Leaning the top or even super cropping a tall branch can all be done with less likelihood of damage when the stems are sturdier with stronger cells. Silica reinforces the plant cells from the inside out so the plant builds thicker stems to be able to bear the weight of the buds. The bigger stems and branches that can absorb and transport water and nutrients more efficiently, resulting in faster and more extensive growth.
Yeah diatomaceous earth works on bugs that have exoskeletons cuz it gets between them like shards of glass but it only supposed to work when it's dry so you must be bottom watering. Still beneficial as a mineral amendment.
hi… i have small plastic container from the home hardware store…..have chickens must have…sprinkle on soil as well…i cant read it either word … watching your ads
I'm about to start my first grow just waiting on seed arrival. What do you think of a 40% coco, 40% earth worm castings, & 20% perlite mix or do you have a mix to recommend?
Hi there, I got cal-mag . My question is …can I mix it with other nutrients?? Or shood I give use it when watering ?🤔 Iam about to mix A and B and pk13/14 and add cal-mag .or is it too much ? Pls help guys🙏
Perlite and diatomaceous earth are beneficial. It's a good product. Is it good enough to justify the price? The answer will be different for a lot of people
You spent all that money on all those amendments and products wouldn't you want to be able to use it all instead of having it all run out. That's why you should buy lump charcoal inoculated with all your amendments for about a week and then it'll retain all your amendments much better than pearlite.

Actualy y m growing on rockwool and its just awesome 2 liter water y can feed entire week and best of all it s so clean 15×15 cube 1 plant and easy to transplant just put little cube in big cube^^ No soil or perlite dust
To keep Fungus Gnats at bay, I water with Bacillus Thuringiensis (Mosquito Bits) that has soaked overnight. It really works 🙂 Normally I only do it after I have gnats with new soil.
Something else to,when I use Co2 .I don't hang it up high,I put it just under the table. So,the Co2 goes to the under side of the leafs. That where the plants take in Co2,not the top of a plant.Oxigen comes out of the top of the leafs.Co2 comes in the leaf through the bottom on the leafs.

Good videos guys! Always love the content!
'Die – uh – mus TAY – shush' earth! ✌😉
Perlite is great! 50/50 Coco/Perlite + an inch of coarse Perlite in the bottom of the fabric pots. Easy as.
Def going to give this a try, you two are awesome!
I’m considering ditching perlite for rice hulls and vermiculite as it always seems to make its way to the top of my soil.
Thanks for the tips. Will try it out.

when using natures living soil, how much do you add equal amounts of NLS and Perlite?

Diatomaceous earth is named because it's the dead bodies of tiny organisms called diatoms.

Thanks for the info and the discount for Harvest Hero.
Add 20% of perlite on all my plants with pots…
I like how they add the DE for silica. I have been adding it separate for silica and as an ipm in the summer time.
I got 3 cubic feet shipped to the door from Amazon for fiddy bucks! Cheaper than that miracle gro stuff at the big box.
Diatomaceous earth is good for your plants you get silica out of it. Diatomaceous earth is also good for pests in the soil
Great video thanks guys
