  1. Well, I guess I should have watched your video first but I got my daughter a puppy for Christmas but WE ALL wanted a puppy but my question is the puppy has not had any vaccines or hasn't been dewormed yet the puppy is 6 weeks old it is American bull terrier….what should I do first? I have 2 other dogs at home that where all vaccinated their first year but I don't believe it is necessary to over vaccinate a dog or puppy. What are your thoughts on vaccinating dogs do you believe they should be given boosters once a year? Also what shots do you feel are necessary for a 6 week old puppy and what should I give her to deworm her (I usually give my dogs black walnut extract a few times a year and I mix pumpkin seeds in their dog food every other month and that seems to have worked for my older dogs instead of giving them harmful anthelmintics. I do realize that my natural way of deworming this puppy might not be the correct way to do it because of the dog's age. Do you agree or disagree? If you think the puppy needs something stronger to deworm her what should I give her? I really appreciate you responding as soon as you can because I'm waiting to see what I should do. Btw I LOVE your videos please keep making them because we all love and respect your advice.

  2. Funny puppy. But I really need your help. My dogs chased each other around 2 nights ago and my biggest dog got a cut on upper eyelid of right eye. He keeps scratching at it..how do I cover his paws or eye to keep him from scratching it more?. I've been using warm water to wipe his eye 2 times a day. But can't keep his paws covered long enough to keep him from scratching again

  3. I agree with you Dr. Jones. I hate seeing shelters like here where I live at having holiday specials to adopt a dog or cat then people go there because they are $25 adoption fee spay and neuter included then after the new year most are returned and the poor dog or cat doesn't understand why. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  4. LOL!!!!! 0:49 poor Tula fell out of the bag!!!! Dr Jones!, you needed a bigger bag! Precious Tula made my day! My two small terriers do crazy things that make me laugh! Laughter is medicine to the heart…I ❤ them soooo much! Thank you Dr Jones for the video! Merry Christmas, blessings to you and your family.🐶🐺🐶🐺🐶🐺🐶🐺 🎁🎄🎅🎁🎄🎅

  5. Off topic but need to mention this, some time ago, looking for advise on dog's arthritis I came across your channel doctor, and you specifically recommended the intake of turmeric in a dog's diet to improve this issue, I have been doing it and want to say that it has worked like a miracle, I want to say Thank You for helping my elderly dogs, she can now come upstairs each morning and she does not limp anymore, God bless you!

  6. thank you for another great video.. Tula is so cute and such a patient dog! Merry Christmas to you and yours… looking forward to more videos in the coming year! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise…

  7. I foster to help them get adopted. But my fosters are always in videos to show a potentially interested person to allow them to see how the dog interacts with other dogs, cats, children, male and female adults. There is much to consider. The adoption is national and the organization always owns the dog you adopt to prevent dumping off at a shelter if things don’t work out or if someone passes away and their dog is still alive. We are an all volunteer organization. We transport, foster and occasionally we fail and foster to adopt our own fosters. Usually, I cry every time one leaves, but with in days I am sending photos of hounds in shelters to be able to foster again. It’s a calling to foster so you can continue to s a one hound at a time. Great video!

  8. Tula kind of fell out of that bag, didn't she? It was so funny — I watched it over and over, again. Happy Holidays to you and your family, and once again, thank you for creating and posting these informative videos. Much appreciated.

  9. I agree with you, no good idea to gift a dog, pets needs a lot of atencion, care and love❤️❤️ It is a big responsability! and lots of money to cover expenses when they are sick😢

  10. As I do animal rescue – I see the downside of giving a LIVING gift. Never a good idea. Love the thot of giving a donation to a shelter! Always adopt from a shelter. Puppy mills are horrible for so many reasons. Too many pets not enough homes. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. WOOF!

  11. Too true! We wanted to get a dog for the mother in law because she lives alone but before we did that we brought it up in conversation with her. It's ALWAYS best to talk about it and like someone else in the comments said, have that person chose the pet themselves because when the fur baby chooses you, it's meant to be. In the end we all decided it best not to get her a pet.
