My kitty has it. He is serious about it. He will bite over it, just not hard. It makes me laugh a lot when I warn friends and family that he's getting pissed and they don't listen. He doesn't hurt them but he scares the 💩 out of them. It's good to see you smile and laugh again, Dr. Jones. 💛
This is true, also helps to remember that a cat weighs about 10 pounds so you're going to pet it differently than you would a 700 pound horse. You're using the horse method on this poor little guy. More cat petting tips: Their favorite places to be pet : 1. their cheeks , using a backwards stroke ( in other words petting in the direction of fur growth) 2. On top of the head, using slow, light, gentle strokes 3. Behind their ears *Remember, when petting a cat, always pet using slow, light, gentle strokes in the same direction as their fur grows. They will love it ❤
*When their tail starts flipping, moving, tapping, it means they're getting over stimulated and it's time to stop. *Avoid touching their tails, belly and paws because those are their vulnerable spots, so they won't like it. *When they show their belly, they're telling you they trust and they're enjoying your company, but it is not an invitation to pet their belly, even though it may look like it. 😘 🐈
I don’t like anyone to pat me on the back! lol My 14 yr old cat will follow me around the house from room to room sometimes, then all of a sudden he attacks my ankles and leg. I have researched this behavior and learned it’s the prey – hunt and attack and kill thing. I’ve learned to pay attention to avoid it. He has pet aggression too but he initiates petting so I try not to over pet. He loves for me to scratch the top of his head and under his chin. I don’t know if when I stop the aggressive attack is because I’ve stopped or pet him too long or he just wants to bite or slap at my hand. He can’t jump anymore. One day he just stopped jumping on the beds and other places he used to easily leap into. I think he had ear infection too because his balance is unstable more often but not as bad as it was. Vet put Otic solution in his ears and the two week Convenia antibiotic. He also gave him methylprednosolone. I now give him organic full spectrum CBD hemp oil and he’s better except for these aggressive sporadic behaviors . He looks to the floor and religiously on the same paths through the house and when he’s outside in backyard. I’m just thankful my little buddy is still active and all his organs work and he has an appetite. Maybe he’s just bored and not too happy he can’t jump anymore. His body is still flexible and mobility is functioning. He is still social though. He doesn’t hide. His favorite place is the livingroom in front of the fireplace heater vent. Why is he always looking at the floor when he makes his rounds?Vet says my cat has early signs of kidney disease.
Please send me the link….I have a calico who I believe has this or she may just have a attitude problem 🤦🏻♀️
