  1. … NONE of this can be called "ice cream" — it's a legally-defined term based on content … call them what "Breyers" has adopted — "frozen non-dairy desserts" or "frozen reduced-fat dairy desserts" –even "gelato" might be considered appropriate (depending upon content) ….

  2. Ironically for the Halo top ice creams, despite the low calorie count, it’s actually making people fatter. The use skim milk for their base: skim milk is used by farmer to fatten pigs; it fattens humans too. Stevia has a lot of fructose, which has a higher insulin spike than sucrose, causing more fat to be stored and the weight to pack on. So while it may sound good and “healthy” with a low calorie count, it’s actually doing more damage than good

  3. I live in the uk and will never really be able to travel there but I would do anything to get that gluten free dairy free one for my partner who’s gluten free! Also I’d love to try frozen food one because I have a condition that makes me have reactions to a lot of foods and something like this would be a godsend! It’s amazing to hear that one was started over here in the uk!

It’s awesome that there are options out there for people like us now!
