Oh my goodness! Scooter, black miniature Dachshund, snuck into my Mom's car today without her being aware. THREE HOURS LATER…there was a mad search on. She thought he was with me while I was out on the tractor. I thought he was with her. My mom is 78 and Scooter is primarily her dog, but he is my work buddy. He hadn't been feeling real well or he would have normally been out chasing me on the tractor. Scared the absolute crap out of both of us when she found him in the car! He seems to be fine, but she was so upset at what could have happened that she was crying. When, we couldn't find him, I had horrible visions of him being scraped up with the weeds by the tractor and me not knowing it. He's smarter than that, though. Summertime in New Mexico. 3 hours in a car with the windows rolled up. Thank Yehouah he survived! She keeps a cup of water in there, so maybe that is what made the difference. We keep a bowl of water for the pets under one of the porch chairs. She made him take a good drink. I used a cool,, wet cloth to wipe him down, repeatedly running it under cold water.
hello could you possibly do a video on some home remedies for a salivary mucocele/sialocele in a cat ? I know it’s more common in canines but I have a cat () that somehow has one. thank you in advance !
Great tips. It’s perfect timing since where I’m at it’s 103 degrees Fahrenheit. I worry about other dogs in my area. I keep my dogs indoors most of the day with ac running all day.
thanks man, My dog got a heat stoke last year and we had no idea what to do, (He's Perfect Now) but yea guys once you see the pants that mean time to go back:)
Thanks Doc Absolutely on the cool water not cold water, have friends who raise St Bernards, fairly common with them. It's on the list they go through with all their customers. I've always heard to walk them slowly into a pool or stream and not let them lay down, like 10 minutes from paws in, until body submersed. Not to contradict, just If there is no hose.
I'd love to see a video on making sure my Doggo is getting enough water in the hot weather as well as encouraging them to drink. I have been adding a couple of tablespoons of no sodium fat free chicken broth to his water and of course he drinks that no problem but I'm not sure if that's healthy long term. Thanks Doc.
New 13+ diabetic dog male yorkie mix going blind quickly anything we pet parents can do to help reverse this gets 5ml of vetsinsluin 2x daily.?

Love ya, Doc, but I would just like to highlight and encourage the use of harness leads over collar leads, due to the potential for Tracheal Collapse.
