  1. I've never had a dog that tilts their heads no matter how hard I try, nor did I have any that howl to music or loud sirens, nor have I had any dogs ever afraid of loud sounds or fireworks. But. My current boy only began tilting when he lost his hearing. This makes me very sad my precious can't hear me talking him how much I love him and what a sweet boy he is .

  2. Have you noticed how Tula tilted her head when he whistled at a high pitch, just a theory, but maybe when a dog tilts their head it adjusts the small amount of liquid that is in the ear drum and helps them to distinguish who or what is making the sound 🤔

  3. I think they tilt their heads when they hear an unusual sound, tone of voice to figure out what it means…. Maybe even verifying if we really produced this unfamiliar sound or does it emanate from elsewhere! Whatever the reason, undoubtedly cute and endearing!

  4. I think some dogs do tilt there heads when you do. I used to have 3 dogs that did do head tilting when I tilted my head. And when I talked to them. I don't have any dogs now but I'm going to possibly get another lab in the near future. I'm a cat lover and a dog lover. I'm one that gets so attached to my pets that when something happens to them I cry like a baby. Tulla is so cute. She knows what she's doing. She's playing you so that you will give her a treat. Smart girl.

  5. I can see how Tula became closer and closer to you and now she's attached to your hip! LOL. Mimicking indeed! I've read that dogs bark more than other canine species because they imitate us, we speak and they want to speak too! 🙂

  6. My sister's last poodle at a very mature age watched me hunker down and curl my hands in front of my chest like a pup sitting up and begging. She immediately copied that, never having doneit before, and would do it with that cue the rest of her life. So I think they pick it up from other dogs or sometimes humans. I think it means curiousity.
