Sorry but this is just BS. Defenitions of Words change over time and the "bad" undertone from marihuana is long gone. What it boils down to is just to force everyone to adjust their language in what group x beliefs. If you dont like Word x, good for you, but nobody should forbidd anyone to never use some word. And i dont care what it is.
And to be fair, and i dont mean that in a bad way. The only People who keeping some old, bad spirits still alive, like the villainization with marihuana are doing stuff like you right here with this Video. Reviving the Bad connotations even if the definitions changed and no one uses the word anymore to vilify someone.

Idk I've always since I was young distinctly always called it hemp, and cannabis. (Typically I use to associate males as hemp and females as cannabis, obviously I've changed that) all these slang names are dumb, it's cannabis. That's it. Maybe even "flowers" might be acceptable.

I never really thought about that before. I would say if it's not cool try not to use it, but if it did rise above that then great. Me personally I never liked the word I prefered Cannabis or Weed that's what I always say.
I think that the "original" usage of the term marijuana is obviously super racist, but I definitely don't think a lot of people even know the origins of the word nowadays. At most, the word maybe kinda sounds a little spanish… maybe? And you would pretty much need to be told about the origins of the word to know the full deeper meaning behind it. I don't even know anyone other than the government that even calls it marijuana lol; it's mostly pot or weed. Nevertheless, cannabis is a much better term and makes you sound much smarter haha
