  3. Thank you for the information , have a problem that I kept thinking was flea allergy but started thinking outside the box.
    I am on a fixed income and cheaper cat food is what I can afford I'm now breathing easier because the expensive brands are coming up not so much as clean bill of health.
    I'm going to make my own cat food any one out there can send me to a site or write a resipee I'd appreciate it, thanks.

  4. these are not accidents – if they were the person(s) responsible would have come forward and admit to it. Instead, it gets brushed under the carpet as oops " another recall". Can we get anymore stupid? who is making these mistakes -. Whomever put the euthanasia drug in pet food and those making excuses for them should be EUTHANIZED by any means necessary

  6. Report deaths and illnesses to both the FDA and all your congressional officials. You would ask for the name of the staffer who handles FDA regulation issues — why this is essential? The FDA falls under the Executive branch but Congress makes the laws and can demand investigations as well as hearings. It is important to put the issue on the plate of Congressional staffers since Congressional offices have high turnovers of staff

  7. Here in the U.K,when you go into a vets the first question you are asked is,is does your pet have insurance. U.K. vets put money first before the pet.I am talking from experience.

  12. I've been making more of my dog's & cat food. The dogs were on a prescription diet from Science Diet not even available right now so a good time to start weaning them off of it. The dogs love the recipes I have from one of your pdf's. The cats are taking a little longer to get on board but it's patience with them. Thanks so much for sharing this information. I do believe I'll check out Susan and Laurie to get the cats & dog's food checked

  13. Its no secret they render euthenised animals into cheap petfood mostly in US, because in Europe rules are way stricter. It really pays off in vet costs if you invest in good quality human grade petfood, containing sourced meats/fish, and no animal byproducts or deratives. Do a little research and there is plenty out there that hardly ever get recalled, and if they do, its not because of euthasols in it. And that doesnt have to be expensive brands. Because big brands like Iams, Hills, RC are only here to make money. The more commercials and promos they do, the further you got to keep away from it. Sales representative of RC told me himself, its all rubbish, all types and varieties are exactly the same in base pink pulp they use, just created in different kibble size, shape, color or oils they use and the difference between cat and dog food is just in aromas, texture and added vitamins. You pay extra for your special breed specific cat/dog food, which contains mostly fillers and poor amount of quality meat/fish. Its all marketing to make money. Catfood should have at least 60% fresh meat in it, try find brands who have more than 30%… and its just rendered grub. No wonder cats are obese and diabetic. The exceptions may be in the veterinairy petfoods as they can make more money over that they do effort to keep their promise. After all thats big pharmas speciality. If having dogs, its so easy to have them eat off the table/self prepped food. For cats its little more difficult, but not impossible. My cats love some cuts of raw fish, including the fins and bones or heads. So as long as its raw.

  27. Society worldwide no longer has the assurance of good regulatory systems. Greed and profit motivates business, nothing else. We don't even know what WE are consuming most of the time either. It's sad…supposed progress!

  29. One of my dogs has a sensitive stomach since she was a year old. I finally found a dog food she could tolerate. Then that company was bought out. It made her want to eat grass or dirt. I switched brands. She is now seven years old. I have tried her on every food I can, even Merrick. It would not work for her either. I have family members who had trouble with their dogs too. They had to switch brands. Something fishy is going on, as we all used different brands of food too.

  30. I so appreciate you Doc! Please become a Patron to this wonderful channel. Every little bit helps. I’m retired and on a budget but before going on this channel I spent upwards of $8,000 on vet bills for my two Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix dogs. I’ve learned to take care of my pups by watching this channel for almost 4-5 years now. Other than their 3 year checkups and shots I’ve been able to treat any issues myself. Truly a Godsend 🐶🐶🙏🏻

  31. The governments are doing their utmost to kill us off with their covid jab, what makes anyone think they care about our pets? (they have a killer jab for them too) I would do anything if my cat would eat home made food, I tried everything but she insists on the canned crap. I bought all the vitamins and minerals to mix in better than mine, I might add but still no go. I had her since she was six weeks old and I started her on home made stuff….turkey, chicken, beef and also some scrambled egg then suddenly she decided she wanted canned. No idea where she even found out about canned. I'd appreciate suggestions. The world is getting dangerous and I'm very leery of who to trust.

  33. Do you know how hard it is to report something to the FDA??? I tried to report adverse side effects from medicine prescribed for me. I gave up because it was too difficult to get through. Maybe a doctor has better luck.

Thank You once again , Information and being informed is crucial..As well as the pet foods, being sold to pet owners causing illness and issues, I think there are other products that have made our pets ill. One of my dogs took ill and died earlier than I felt he should have. I feel it could have been from a flea medication he was on that was switched from the one , I had always had him on and also from another medication that was given to him for allergies by my veterinarian, both of these I had not researched enough about before i agreed to my veterinarian, give it to my dog, as I had anytime prior. My veterinarian is a very good one, I am not putting blame upon her, for she always explains everything thoroughly and gives me a detail written paper of all the things that can be given and suggested to give and why needed. You don’t have to give or agree to any or all of them, as you are allowed to choose from the list. Usually I take the time while I’m at the veterinarian with my pet and research. I recall those two items I had not taking the time to research before I agreed upon them I trusted they would be okay and they had worked (or what I thought had resolved the issue at the time) . 😒Later in my researching I found those products to be risky and cause issue in pets (dogs and other animals).

Thank You, so much 🙏for explaining this factor to people, allowing them to become aware of this information and to understand it…🧐I do believe it is the Pet foods that have also been the majority of the reason all of our pets have been all experiencing a surge of so much skin issues, skin conditions and digestive problems as well as the sickness and deaths. I have been able to find solutions, but it’s been very difficult, frustrating and costly going to 🤔veterinarian after veterinarian, before I myself was able to come-up up with the proper resolution for my pets.

  37. Hi Dr Jones, In a previous video you compared several types of cat food from kibble to raw liver. I noticed the Castor and Pollux "Organix" brand of wet canned food
    was Murphy's favorite. With 2 rescue feral cats that turn their noses up to all but kibble, I thought I would try the Organix brand. With Merrick being bought out by
    Purina and Nestle, and their love of profitability over quality, would you recommend this product. I need help in getting them off dry food. Thank you.

I fear we will be seeing a massive uptick in pet injury and death coming over the next couple of years, as people are starting to try to stockpile pet food against increasing scarcity and price inflation. A video on the length of time and ways to safely store pet food long term/shelf stable might be a good idea. And alternatives.
    I personally use pressure canning as one way to save homemade pet food for situations and times where purchasing it or the ingredients to make it might not be a viable means of keeping my pets fed. i raise small meat stock, so for me this is a natural thing to consider, but it can be a good idea for others as well.

  41. My golden has had a skin issues since I adopted her at 6 months old. She is now 3.5 and has been on a homemade diet for most of this year. Her skin now is the best it has ever been. No flakes, oiliness and less shedding.

  42. I cook for my dogs I have a few great recipes but I need a cat food recipe , I would rather them eat regular food and get your supplement to put into it…do you have any cat food recommendations so I can cook for them also ? thanks Dr Jones

  43. I've recently been researching pet food because my cat's been itching and dandruff and miserable. One person here on YouTube explained that animal by-product labeled on pet food has been found to be from rendered animals from kill shelters! I AM SICKENED! They're making our pets cannibals and also feeding them poison that killed the poor shelter animals! That's it! Only meats and veg from my own home for now on!

I would love a “Consumer’s Report” type of thing where an unbiased source listed what is GOOD to get for a particular breed/age, etc. It is daunting to try and figure out where something is ‘sourced’ and what is good or bad. I’d also like every dog treat Made in China put in a section of its own in the pet store.

  46. I lost 1 to DCM of 2 of my dogs due to recalls.. Went thru "4" recalls from 2011 to 2014.. 😢😣😠 I researched.. I made tons of public complaints.. An devastated having to put my little mama down.. These manufacturer's are also making people FOOD.. So ANGRY 😠.. STILL. Im using Dr Marty.. My other dog's healthy.. Mostly.. He has pancreatitis.. Skin PROBLEMS.. BUT hes been doing REALLY great so far.. Between YOU an your information an Dr Marty FOOD.. Im calmer.. My dog's getting BACK his LIFE. For US.. Its WORKING. I put both YOU an Dr Marty out to everyone. LOVE YOU Both.. Much gratitude.
