An Iranian friend of mine made me Tahdig in Bournemouth, UK 40 years ago. It was beautiful and I have only recently found out what Tahdig was. Thank you😍
Thank you for this presentation. I want to take the chance to thank you and your dad. Thank you for showing respect to our parents, who raised us and made us who we are today.. Thank you for showing the appreciation of the blessings that we enjoy, including rice that we sometimes take for granted, while so many other people may sleep hungry because they have no food. Thanks
I came to know about this recipe for Queer Eye Second season (Netflix) I had never seen this recipe. In Colombia 🇨🇴 the rice that is at the bottom of the pot and turns a bit crispy we call it “Pega” . I am going to learn by this recipe what Tahdig is about. And YES in my country in most homes we eat rice daily with lunch.
Whoa whoa whoa this better be a bunch of foreshadowing because that was a bunch of Farideh's childhood food rattled off like what and I'm here like how do I make this international stuff for my kids?!
Every Persian Dad ever! I can’t🥰. I don’t have one but I married one, with two children who love their food and BOTH parents. Love is full of good food! Persian food culture opens up love, family and extensive, extended love for people who are Iranian, and those who love them. Video of kindness and light. Too cute.
Never thought rice crust had its own dish until I saw in on a cooking show on Netflix. Back home we call it Con-Con and it's a sub-product of cooked rice.
My grandfather was Persian (though you'd never know by looking at me lol) and just passed this year. One of my favorite memories was when I made the rice for our Baghali Polo and it got his approval 🙂
I love tahdig so much that it’s a long running joke I’m naming my first son Tahdig. I grew up having it with crispy bread base more often than the crispy rice, but both are delish 🤤
This is just precious! All the best to you and your dad, hugs from Germany! 🤍
My local Persian restaurant specializes in tahdig rice. So many delicious stews to go with the crispy rice 😍😋

I think you need to use different words when you are excited. Love the rice.
Ive tried it. It was perfect !!!
Tahdig is Iran’s gift to the world. Super cute video of father and daughter cooking together. Rice dance!
If your Persian Dad doesn't wear a big shirt that's tucked in around the house, is he even a Persian Dad?
Why does she use her fingers for everything 🤢🤮
F** I was going to use this video for my class, but at about 6:23 you cursed. 😩 It's a HS so I can't use it now. So bummed.
Very nice only thing you did not give your Baba a chance to talk. Very cute you should do more videos with him.
Almost the same way haitian cook their rice.
Everything in one step.
