  1. I would like your advice. My dog ,24 pounds, is 12 years old. She is a mixed breed rescue from a puppy mill. She has back issues from an injury at a pet groomer. My vet says she has to lose weight. I have her on weight loss food , both wet and dry. She only gets 1/4 cup of each 2x and 1 small biscuit daily. ! I was told to give her vegetables aka carrots and green beans. She also has regular anal gland issues to which I add 1tsp pumpkin, organic before bed. Will the green beans add fiber or will they loosen her bowels adding to the problem.?? Any help with weight loss would be greatly appreciated. I have gmail address.

  2. and the love for the dog…is it necessary to have food available 24 hrs a day?
Lu-Lu has her food and water in 2 places
    AND
regardless of how many times she's offered to GO out OR she barks TO go out I don't think the messes STILL in the house is necessary
Is this part of OR all of this problem for me not her❤
    Thanks for your attention😎

  3. Wow, this guy you speak of is a complete moron. A dogs, in fact all animals , are the epitome of unconditional love. They are pure souls with no understanding of malice, retaliation or revenge. They do, however pick up on the energy of people around them and become an extension of their “owner”. So if the owner is a high strung ass, guess what? They teach their animals to be the same way. Remove the animal from the energy and the animal reverts back to his calm nature. I know all the arguments against this logic and you are wrong. God intended all creatures to live in perfect harmony in Eden. But… humans screwed that up… I could explain further but I have another point…

The more you talk to your dog, the more he understands. And since dogs are pack animals, he will challenge your authority just like a child. He will push to see what he can get away with, test the boundaries, your reactions and your energies. If you do not come across as alpha, the dog will own you… just like the kid throwing a tantrum in the store. Good luck with that. Sure they still love you unconditionally but now you’re their bitch.
In conclusion dogs love unconditionally no matter who or what you are, but they will react to the energy around them. There is a reason God put the fight or flight response in the animals… to protect them from us…

  4. Can senior cats with kidney disease eat puréed pumpkin?
My daughter bought her weruva trulxe grains and carb free steak frites with beef and pumpkin in gravy .Senior food here is only in large cans and chicken only grain free . So she gets sick of it . But wanted to ask ,it’s higher in fat but she’s lost 2 pounds at vets . All tests ok except for urea so she said no CS or Tumeric! What’s your take on this ?
Will it hurt her kidneys? I’m giving her omega/ alpha probiotics. 8 plus from national nutrition. Thanks so much.

  5. Can you tell me Dr. Jones if the vet medication used for de-worming can be used for dog cancer? My 14 y.o. I/G may have to have another surgery and I thought maybe I could try this first. Thanks for any light you can shed on this subject.

  6. My dog is almost 14. She's a cockapoo and has never liked to licked or kiss. I've had her since she was 8 wks and i don't remember her kissing since she was 3-4 months. I'm so attached to her and she loves to play with toys still, jumps at me when I come in from anywhere. I've always wondered why she doesn't like to kiss. My kids have always asked, Why… Does anyone else's dog not like it? Maybe it's the taste of salty skin? Hmmmm

  7. With every single animal I’ve owned ,known and loved , it was and is always unconditional.
They love us when we’re up ,and down , in great times and not so great times . They pick up on our emotions, and are a lot smarter than we ever give them credit for . The way they look into our souls, my cat knows that I’m getting sick before I do . Our dog will lick my leg or an area where a burn is beginning. I have CRPS,and he’s a big English Mastiff , who has the sweetest disposition.
They feed off of our emotions,in fact they live for a playtime,a hug ,kiss , they respond to our voices, and he has a bag full of squeaky toys ,and will actually choose ,which one ,he wants . He’s BFF with the cat we adopted, and they snuggle with each other. My cat loves to talk ,and she has the sweetest disposition as well, sneaking up ,putting her paws on both arms , if she senses I’m going out , she’s underneath the bed . She definitely holds a grudge ,and lately going out ,and the strangest thing of all ,is when she was younger,a Joe Cockers song ,” You are so Beautiful “ came on and went nuts . So we continued to play it through the now 18 yrs . We played it again a few weeks ago ,when we had to go out , and as it began playing, she stuck her head out of my coat, and just started to purr like crazy.
They only want to play, and please us . I couldn’t live without animals. Thank You again Dr Jones for all your help ,info ,as I continue to share you with the world , all your support, and inspiration,is so greatly appreciated. ✌🏾❤️🇨🇦

  8. I have a 125 lbs Anatolian Shepard and I've had her for 2 yrs..got her at a supposed age of 4. I'm having a heck of a time getting her to love me. I've never had that problem with a dog before. She loves people to a fault but not so much wild animals ..We'll most other animals unless they are in the house. She doesn't care for women. I finaly got a bit farther with her but I had to use food as a tool. Maybe she's never attached to anyone before. She was a dig that was left behind on a chain when the owners walked away from their house. Dog pound finaly got her..don't know her condition when they got her.
    Anyone have any advice?
I'm not getting rid of her..she's mine for the duration but it's hard for me I guess to have a dog that doesn't show love but yet does want to be petted.
    Best description of her…
    A narsicist. Lol…but true!

  9. I seen a neighbor take their duckling to the park in the morning to get rid of it. By afternoon, the dog was walking home with the duckling in the dog's mouth quacking. The dog defended the ducks and the ducks would clean the dog. The duck would follow the dog every where 🤗. They would even sleep together. Talk about weird relationships 😍

  10. I saw on a media news channel about a year ago that an owner of a German Shepard has passed away and was buried at the cemetery about a mile or two away, so the dog sniffs out the owner, dug all the way down to the coffin and lays on the coffin! He missed his friend! I was all out balling when I saw this!!!! THAT IS HOW MUCH THEY LOVE US!
    Great video! Thanks again doc!

  11. Dogs, like humans, are individuals with varying abilities to bond. Some dogs pine when their owner/alpha is away, others don't seem to care so much. I believe that as domestic predators they've developed the ability to ingratiate themselves to humans but this doesn't mean they're not emotionally invested.

  12. I have a labrardor puppy 12mnths now, I let him socialise with all other dogs but unfortunately can often come across owners who panic and shout my dog doesn't like other dogs, this really annoys me because I believe that most of the owners are more frightend than their dog actually is and this dissociates their dog of the opportunity to socialise with other dogs effectively and ends up being slowly walked on a lead for the whole time they're out.. I feel sad that is okay in the owners eyes
