  1. I wish there were more episodes of the Pizza Show! The show wonderfully tells the story of the local people and it's community, done organically. Frank is a great host and storyteller. He's a gentleman too, perhaps that stems from his Italian roots.

  2. Make more of these shows please, I've watched each episode so many times – they are excellent – great host with a contagious passion for pizza and pizza people!,

  3. I wish we had a massive peel like the one at 5:50 when i was working at grimaldis. That oven was 10 feet deep and we had to slide it to the back with a normal wooden peel using a shuffleboard technique to slide the dough all the way in the back like a hockey puck. Was so hard to master.

  4. Don't even have to watch the video, will just tell ya right now….. Yes!!!…. New Haven all the way, have had the best of both (just had Pepe's yesterday as a matter of fact). New Haven kicks butt, but Modern's in New Haven is by far the best in my opinion. I've met people in line there from New York coming to New Haven for pizza at Modern's. Sally is great too in New Haven. Bars in New Haven is amazing too. As for New York, I have to say the best I have tried there is Lombardi's. That's my story and I'm sticking with it 😄

  5. Just went to New Haven with a friend we did a tour. First stop was to pepe's tried the traditional and the white clam. The white clam was delicious. Next we went to Sally's Apizza and it was out of this world. Traditional Mozzarella and red sauce pie and Potato with rosemary. They were both insane the traditional was my favorite not a lot of sauce which is perfect and crunch in every bite it was truly a experience to us. Bar pizza was our last stop of the day as we were filling up quick lol. Bar was a different experience felt like the name states BAR lol. The pizza to me was not close to Sallys or Pepe's. More of a specialty pizza joint if you're more into drinking rather than pizza. our next trip we will try Modern and go from there. Lived in CT 34yrs and never went but now I am glad I did.

  6. A-Beetz is in another league – the BIG LEAGUES. NYC hasn't got anything that comes even close. They put canned gravy on a paper-thin, soggy crust in NYC and are proud of that crap? HA HA HA HA HA!

  7. Im from Germany Europe and had the greatest Pizza from Rom, Napoli and some from NY. But when i went to NY i did not know about new heaven which hurts. Hope I get the chance to travel to NY again and go on a pizza tour through new heaven

  8. Some where in CT I stopped for pizza at a place about 20 to 30 years ago on a trip to MA from NJ. I can't remember the name but it was a women's name. The couple had got divorced and she got the pizza place(named after him) Well he went and opened a new one using her name(his was much better even though she had the recipes) just to irk her. As he said it's not in the recipe it's in the technique and quality ingredients. His pies changed my thinking on pies or what I thought was a really good one. Rocked my world bought 5 pies and he gave us 2 more. I hadn't had better pie until we stopped in New Haven at Frank Pepe Apizza. We tied to get into Sally's but didn't want to wait again as we really only stopped to grab a pie and run(fat chance). I did get a piece of Sally's from a guy that came out as he liked the NASCAR jersey I was wearing. I wanted to save my togo box cover from Frank Pepe and frame the lid so I could make a shrine. OMG. I have had Zuppardi's but I really prefer a coal or wood fired oven as it's hard to duplicate the char from them. Hopefully one day I shall return to have Sallys
