How does this woman know the traditions and folksongs of a peoples exterminated in the mid 16th century is way beyond me.
Wouldn't surprise if all of her "indigenous" quips are essencially made up. Don't get me wrong, there's certain a bit of taino (native indigenous) and araucan (foreign indigenous, mostly from modern venezuela) culture in some areas of the country, and it is being actively preserved by some, but certainly not as much as this woman would have the ol' gringos believe.
