When they say it could be 15% lower or 15% higher, do they mean percent THC content or do they mean like a margin of error? I assumed them to mean a margin of error, so like if the label says 25% then it could be 25% plus or minus 15% of 25 which is 25% +- 3.75%
I respect you work in the grow but I think you're a little stuck in the middle. Cannabis sold in dispensaries has to be tested in batches that's the only way you can do it. All guidelines for harmful compound testing complies with all fda regulations as well as surpasses them in a lot of states. Yes it's an estimate of the overall product but you really can't test any other way federally legalizing or not will not change that and you'll always have shady people trying to one up ya. Last your math was a little off Naturally there will be a variance you said 15% is what the state says so 15% of 15 is 2.5 so if a bud testing 15% but the dispensaries is 15% lower the dispensaries would be 12.5% bur display 15% so you can see especially someone like you who doesn't focus on thc percentages yourent loosing that much overall.
The 10% flower isn't going to get you more stoned then the 30% terpenes and other canabanoids do not produce the psychoactive effects that is produce from the thc only any other canabanoud besides cdb is in such small amounts you won't even notice the effects if the did produce them and terpenes might have some anti bacteria fungal and inflammatory effects but they mainly produce the taste and that alone. Terpenes aren't this new miracle compound we've been using them for thousands of years even before cannabis
This is the first post I don't really agree with. Let's get something straight all medical cannabis ungoes lab testing for chemicals heavy metals pesticides solvents ect. You might get a shady lab but you can't say the test isn't accurate. The test falls within a percentage of variation that is allowed and occurs in all industrial scale manufacturers. All allowable pertanges of a harmful compound are set by the FDA and then controlled by your states health department so anything the federal government says isn't healthy isn't allowed in your bud end of story. Most states have stricter requirements actually. Your math was way off too if I had a bud testing at 15% but the bud on the shelf was 15% lower that's only 2.5 so the bud on the shelf would be 12.5%. While I really want cannabis to be federally legal we just aren't simply ready for that yet. Not to mention that won't really help fix your percentage issue unless you were to regulate cannabis like a drug in the pharmacy. I think we need to lower our expectations a little 10 years ago I was waiting on j in the walmart parking lot for 2 hrs just to get some shitty outdoor or wax loaded with butane. What we have regardless of the minor issues is a beautiful thing and we need to be grateful. Last thing thc percentages aren't everything definitely agree with ya but they definitely matter you might not get a full spectrum effect off some 98% distalate but I promise your head will be spinning like no ones business.
I just grow my own now but a few years ago when I went to the dispensaries, I never looked at the thc numbers. I just looked at the bud. Unfortunately they wouldn't let you smell it
It's batch sampling. It's based off the laws of probability. Given they are grown together they should be similar in quality if I'm thinking correctly.
Yes! This is what I've been trying to explain to people. I'm a medical patient in Minnesota and until March 1st of this year we're only allowed to get concentrates/vaporizers at the dispensaries. They're all just different mixtures of THC/CBD distillate and they're ok, but I just bought some buds for the first time in months and it's soooo much better. The entourage effect with the other cannabinoids is so important and I feel like you lose some of that with just THC/CBD isolated.
I'd love to see a dispensary video where you rate them, OR a purely entertaining video where you read funny dispensary reviews. You could also review online shops, delivery services, etc. Would love to see where to go when I'm in a legal state. ORRRRR TOP 10 videos would also be cool. You could separate them by category like vapes, concentrates, flower, and edibles. A tier list for cannabinoids would be cool too. Like cbd, thc, Delta-8, cbg, cbn, JWH-018, etc. Just tossing some stuff out there. Either way, love the vids. ❤
I already wasn't feeling it but you basically Killed the biosynthesis canna business with that entourage effect explanation I half knew that With Terps needing to go hand-in-hand of cannabiods.

And that's cause the cana industry it's just begging. it Doesn't amaze me despite that is injustice. I know it's just about evolution.
How do they test Consintrats?
We need home test kits. Not only for THC but for all of it!
that was the most well informed weed video I've seen yet.
Love you !!! 🤯

15% of 25 is not 10. 21% or 29% either way

I defense of budtenders, we try to educate but people won't listen.
