  1. As a British Chinese (fam from HK), this is one of those weird culture mixes considering we don't actually have anything like this in the UK! My mum makes a Chinese bougee-fied version with proper pork meat balls, the soup is clean flavoured with salted preserved turnip, a bit of soy sauce and sesame oil, topped off with scallions (we call them spring onions). If you want to go extra, add toasted nori seaweed in the mix. Delicious & simple.

  2. Munchies, none of the photos you showed of the formica table tops and kitchens were correct. He literally said NONE of what you see in Cha Chaan Tengs were the stuff you see in typical Chinese kitchens, indicating they are WESTERN style. But you literally showed claypots 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ literally just ask someone else if you can't do research right, it just feels like some intern said "all asians are the same"
