Remember… All medication and products to kill or damage insects, rats, rodents, plants, weeds and other life forms are toxic to a lot of other creatures, including humans. Please…do not use insecticides, oesticides, and other products. Be careful with natural plant/herbs also. Read, read, read, investigate until you drop dead so to speak.
I took my dog to the groomer’s today and they found 4 fleas on her. I panicked and bought the advantage II capsules. I used one on her today, but I’ll be making this concoction to use instead from now on. Thank you!
I’m not sure if I missed it, but how often should they be sprayed with this?
Here in NJ ive tried everything, nothing keeps the dozens of ticks off the dogs just in my yard. I can spray Ana are of property or does it with anything because I have a well. Gave my 85 lb. 10 year old pitbull one bravecto last November & she has been getting increasingly lame. the vet says its arthritis & probably is but they are pushing the bravecto….charged me $90 for a pill. LOL. no more
My dog has tremors in her sleep and has suffered 3 seizures since September 2021. I suspected the medication but my husband insisted it wasn’t the issue. Thank you!
So I just got Bravecto yesterday because my dog has been itchy and can't figure out what it itching her. I decided to return the Bravecto and bought some shampoo and neem oil.
I’ve always been weary of tic flea and heart worm meds, our vet prescribed simpatico trio for my mini dachshund even when mosquitos are dead outside a 4 month period and we live in the city where there is no ticks or fleas. Every time I asked they gave me bs reasons but I always felt like that was the vet’s way of charging us money each month. Heidi now eats a whole foods diet and doesn’t take any meds outside her routine vaccines and she is the healthiest happiest 3 year old mini dachshund
My dog showing signs of focal seizures: air biting accompanied by chewing and paw licking, cannot settle at night. …. Breathing elevated and racing heart rate…. These symptoms getting worse on the day she gets Bravecto! Stopping it IMMEDIATELY and looking for an alternative before it gets worse.

3 out of the 5 dogs I’ve had have been “epileptic”. After doing my own research I’m heartbroken and beyond pissed off. My poor Pomeranian has suffered from seizures since he was less than a year old, and my chihuahua was extremely healthy during his first vet visit at 2 years old (rescued him as an intact stray, assuming he had never been to a vet before this) This year at 4 years he had his first seizure. Vet determined nothing when he was examined. We were told to give all of our dogs flea and tick meds EVERY. FUCKING. MONTH. This is bullshit. I’m studying to become a vet assistant and now I’m rethinking everything I’ve been taught so far. I’ll be damned before I let any vet over vaccinate and over medicate ANY of my pets ever again.
Add comfortis to the list as my Bichon has just died in my arms this morning during a seizure! I am so heartbroken as my second Bichon who has never had a seizure in his whole life has now had 3 seizures and he will be 17 in 3 weeks! I'm heartbroken as I wish I knew of a detox for dogs to save my last boy. That seizure yesterday was so horrific and he is in so much pain screaming and salivating all over the place. I now remember after the fact that my breeder of my boys said the best preventative is garlic pills!!!!!! I cannot help that I feel that I have killed my boys! I gave them this deadly pill on 8/10/21
Dr Jones, my 6 month old puppy was prescribed Nexgard on the 28th of September, he's had one tablet. He was also prescribed one tablet of Mibemax that he had to be given two days after the Nexgard. He's been off his food since he picked up the Foxglove Lungworm and even more so since he's had the two pharmaceuticals. Having carried out further research and listening to your videos on these issues, I am very concerned about giving him any further medication from the vet. The vet prescribed Nexgard for three months. Dr Jones have you done a video on natural treatments for Lungworm? I've been trying to help his immune system has much as I can prior to his medication by giving him chicken brine ice cubes. I've also been detoxing his adrenals, kidney's and liver with some celery juice. Although I think he's had enough of those now, has he is leaving them on the side. He really loves his chicken and lambs liver treats that I make for him, so I try to put some extra nutrients in those, e.g. plantain that you recommended, very little garlic and ginger. He was having some type of convulsion this morning, although he didn't vomit. I really thought he was going to be sick. He did eat some of his breakfast, afterwards, about a third of his bowl of food this morning.
Sadly, we have a bad flea/tick issue in our area. I hate that I have to keep my pets on this stuff. We always make sure to get blood test on our dogs every 6m because we give these drugs to them. Luckily, they have been fine.
I stopped using NexGard in May and my 8 year old hasn't had a seizure in over 20 days. I stopped HeartGard too. My vets response was to prescribe seizure medicine. I refused that too because she didn't have seizures from birth.
My Dachshund started with having tremors then he was struggling to walk or stand and in the end seizures. This among other issues all began and finally caused his death within 6 months. Multiple vets, multiple test, thousands of dollars…no one mentioned his flea and tick preventative to be a probable cause. One year later I stumbled upon on of your videos on the matter and looked into it more, after seeing other dogs affected, I finally know the cause to my best friends death.
My old dog had his first dose of simparica last week and had a seizure today. After labs which were normal, they believe it is a side effect of the drug. Never again.
My dog was diagnosed with ehrlichiosis before and the treatment was not a joke. I want to give him a tick and flea preventive always but I'm also thinking if it's good to give him bravecto for long term that's why I end up on this channel. Now I'm looking for an alternatives that is really effective, there are so may street dogs in our area with fleas and ticks, whenever I walk my dog outside they approached him and wanted to play with him. So he really needs a preventive for ticks and fleas. Bravecto is really effective but I'm afraid for side effect when using long term.
I gave my German Shepherd Frontline…… she started having severe seizures at the age of 2. She was then put on Pexion which made her gain weight. She was on Pexion for 4years but I lost her in May this year at the age of 6, her heart just could not take it anymore. I still miss her. I now make it my mission to warn everyone I can about this toxic poison.
Ever since i have my dog one of this he started feeling sick. I do not trust these medications. My dog suffers from muscle tremors now. He is a 6 pounds yorkie
All this time I thought I was doing the wrong thing by not using any of the drugs… My dog has Saresto now but most of the time, we were using natural remedies. I know Saresto has chemicals but it seemed a little better… I very well might not be
Thank you so much for your caring and informative videos 💗 🙏 So my 4 year old, 20 lb terrier mix Cosmo, has been on Trifexis for a year now without any problems, until last night… About 8 hours after his monthly dose, he began having head tremors, like his head was bobbing, he was struggling to keep his eyes open, appeared drunk, he then began opening his mouth like he was going to yawn, one after another-but they weren’t yawns. This was all while sitting at the edge of the bed. I scooted down immediately just trying to comfort and calm him. I knew something was very wrong and silently begged for this to end as it seemed like a seizure was only moments away. That luckily didn’t happen and so I eventually picked him up and carried him outside to see if he needed to potty, but he just layed there (it was 2 am) and this was all completely abnormal behavior for him. Once we came in, I eventually got him to lay down and I just slowly pet him to sleep but it was the longest night ever. I slept w 1 eye open, then he puked on the bed a couple of times and slept til noon. He’s back to normal now but, I will never give him Trifexis or anything like it again. At least not monthly. Have you heard this before with this particular drug? I’d been told this was safer than the others.. I’ve found many of your wonderful videos about natural fleas and tick remedies but what to do about heart worm?
Oh my, it ceases to amaze me how government controlled operations can justify themselves by okaying these poisons for animals. My vet said Advantage would be a good fleakiller to use, little did she know. My cat had a serious -almost deadly reaction to the stuff we put on him. Poor cat had burns all over face and ears which only got worse – prednison had to be given and we are still giving it to him 2 months later. His eyes got infected too – and guess what? That stuff did not kill fleas, I am now combing our longhaired cat daily to check for fleas and trying to get the crusts off his skin that all came about as reaction to the poison Advantage we gave him. Never again!
Hi Dr. Jones. I appreciate your video. My 8 year old dog had a seizure 1 day after a dose of Nexgard (which she unfortunately has been taking the past several years). We took her to the ER vet and they said it was probably related to her brain/new neurological issue or her liver (she’s had elevated liver enzymes – now which I’ve read can also be a side effect of these drugs). Will it take a full month for the drug to be out of her system? I just bought some milk thistle to start giving her. Any other suggestions? Thank you!!
If one of the flea/tic medications is the cause of a dogs seizures, will the seizures stop after the monthly dose is out of his system? It was 4 days after taking one of the meds you spoke of that my 11 yr old dog had his 1st seizure. He has had 3 more within the last couple of weeks. Its heartbreaking!
Dr. Jones, I have a 4 month old Boykin. At 12 weeks, she was given a dose of Nexgard with her second round of shots. Approximately one week later she began having seizures. At the present, she typically has one or two seizures per week, clustered on the same day. I am giving her Keppra, Milk Thistle, and CBD. I am also giving her honey when she begins manifest preictal behavior. What else can I do to help her? How long do you think it will take to get the Nexgard out of her system? Thank you for your help.
My 9 mo. Tzu has had about 4 mos. of Advantix II. This last round, he must’ve injested too much while mouthing at our other dog. He was extremely restless all nite & was mildly twitching for hours the next day. I’ve been told to try Nexgard.
I knew it! I ❤ my Vet but when he suggested the dual Flea/HW 💊, my dog went lethargic to scary point. But I do use Heart Guard for 12 yrs on her now. Why can't it be easier or more trusted???? I was going to do the 6 mo? injection but forget it NOW! I already cook her food just to be safe w/all the recalls.😞
What is you take on heart worm pesticides… if flea and tick meds can cause serious side effects and death… I’m sure heart worm meds are the same. What is alternate for mosquitoes as well as fleas and ticks
I use Bravecto. I see my dogs have jerking movements in back legs… As a safety precaution I am not giving it to them anymore. I was never comfortable giving them these poisons. But as my Vet says think of they alternative should they get flea or tick borne diseases…..they are off as of today. My boys are not with other dogs or cats. They just use the backyard. So I’m guessing they are more safe than other dogs. Thank you

Sorry, but isn’t essential oils toxic to cats?
Love that you spreading this important information!
Take care!
I was alarmed that many flea treatments don't even list ANY of their active ingredients. The FDA can surely do better.

Thank you so much for this video!!!!! I’m so worried about my pups! And I’m so glad to find this before I gave it to my dogs

The studies can never be trusted, they manipulate studies to push their money making poisons. We can’t trust Pharmakeia. Thank you Dr. Jones ❤️🇨🇦🙏
Just shave the god
He will be cold a few weeks but atleast he won’t DIE you know
TRIFEXIS killed my healthy dog. Made my others sick.
