  1. Yea works and yea get FOOD GRADE. But 4
    things to note:
1 it’s suuuuper drying so in between the treatments need a rub down with coconut oil, and 2- it does NOT kill eggs or larvae. Brush animals and vacuum a lot, and wash bedding daily while doing this.
3- it becomes ineffective if wet
4- learn about the flea cycle to help you make decisions on this.
    Happy dusting!

  2. I buy large bags from tractor supply company. Yes it does. I pour it on the bedding of my mini horse and boar goat bedding. I use it around the doors . I don't have to worry about the birds and my ducks.

  3. This is great stuff. But there is so much more info that seriously needs to go with it. Buy Human Grade. Read the comments because several people added the important things to know about it before using it.

  4. Could you address the disease called Cushings in dogs. Do you suggest following standard medicine treatment? I have a eight year old bicon poodle mix who the vet says may need exrays and bloodwork. Thank you

  5. I add 1 tbs to my 55kg Bullmastiff's dinner once every 2 months. She's not had fleas in the 6 years I've used it. No worms either or ticks and she is constantly in long grass as much as I try to keep her out of it.

Use it for my chickens. If I see them scratching, while their out in the garden during the day, I cover their home and bedding in it. My 2kg cat got some in her food once every few months.

  6. Plain white table salt. Sprinkle it on your carpet. It kills the fleas. Vacuum the next day. Use as needed. Just bathe your pet and remove the fleas from them by hand. Always start by using soap around your pets neck to prevent the fleas from crawling up to the face and ears. The fleas can't crawl past the soap/shampoo.
DE is wonderful, but I wouldn't recommend it directly on the pet. It is terribly drying to the skin and not good if accidentally inhaled into the lungs.
Thank you doctor for all you do to help us with our fur babies. I can tell you truly care.❤

  7. The way diatomaceous earth works is they are like shards of glass and they perforate the exoskeleton of the bug and they dehydrate and die. This is why you don’t want to inhale it, it’s not toxic per se, it cuts the tender tissues of the lungs.

  8. Where I live (in The Netherlands) a lot of dog owners give their dog(s) buttermilk (real buttermilk from an eco farm) each day and They never find fleas or ticks on their dog. Buttermilk in most shops is actually not real buttermilk these days…..

  9. I've been using this for 13 years and have no flea issues with my pets or breathing issues. Also, I use this with baking soda, and a few peppermint essential oil drops dust the carpet, let it sit for 45 minutes, and vacuum it up. It gets rid of musky smells and leaves the house refreshed. I do it once or twice a month on the carpet.

  10. I bought DE years ago at a feed store would that be considered food grade.? I had it in two Ziploc bags and a little dust flew up when i opened it😭. First time using it the other day, a stray i rescued with either a uti or kidney infection urinates on himself which had created maggots going into a small hole by his testicles! I put some of this on him and it killed the maggots. There were these other little squirmy fast moving bugs on him. Great stuff. Thanks doc for the miralax advice this kitty hadnt pooped in 5 days, he was so dyhdrated. I got generic brand of Miralax and worked within in hour! Thank u, you're a life saver

  11. It’s important to NOTE that it’s highly toxic if inhaled! Thus extreme care should be taken on application for both pet and companion. When applying to your pet’s food it should first be mixed with a little water or olive oil for the same reason

  12. Use correct face mask and protect pets too.
Its great stuff but can wreak havoc if breathed in or if it lands in your eyes.

Shouldnt use any old vacuum either. The paper bag kind are recommended.
If the particles get in the air and are breathed into lungs by humans or animals they will damage the cili and cause infection an damage. Just do the research and carry on!😊
