Being Canadian from Alberta we go down to Mexico once or twice a year. I'm foster home for cats/dogs have 3 dogs of my own and obviously an animal lover. When ever we go to I try to find out ahead of time where there are animal shelters so I can go and donate food, toys or medicine and of course see the animals. It's wonderful to see the people who care for these animals because they are the most wonderful people in the world.
Sadly there are to little of these kind of people in Mexico.. I can't even get my dog help from scratching.. the vets here are so money hungry it's hard to find one that actually cares and has legit training to be a vet
I just started watching. The cages look great, so clean and a good size. The 100 pesos is very reasonable, but I think any animal adopted needs to be sterilized before they are adopted OR it needs to be a condition of adoption, due to the epidemic of street dogs and cats in Mexico. The low cost clinics are wonderful. Congratulations on such fine programs.
I do not understand how such a rich country like US have no money to accomodate stray animals and euthinase them after certain time. Here in Europe e.g Czech republic we do not euthinase animals at all.We placed them either to shelter or people take them home temporarily till they find permanent home.
We have a place in N Ft Myers Florida called ARC. Animal refuge center and they don't euthanize. Its about $35-$50, last I was there and the dogs and cats go home with spay'/neuter and all shots. Also the scorpion, yuck. We had one in the house before. My don was 3 and he wouldn't put his strewn books and toys away,so I began doing the mom thing. I picked up a book and there wad a scorpion. I was opposite of being upset that he didn't pick his things up! Enjoy your vacation! Thx for showing us the bottom of N.A.!
Awww…bout time we see your wife…jk doc…she's pretty. Thank you for the video and for visiting and promoting the shelter. Thank you to the sweet lady who is in charge of the shelter and all the workers. Blessings to you all🌸🌸🌸🌸🐕 🐕 🐕🙏 🙏 🙏
What a wonderful job they are doing to take care of their animals. They need a bigger area so the dogs are not locked up, and can run around and play. Please donate. It’s so inexpensive.
Love the sign at the door, "Dogs welcome, people tolerated". 😀 Thanks for sharing your trip with us Dr. Jones. Wonderful to see the care the animals are getting in Mexico. 🙂
