My dog has blisters on her abdomen. Went to the got antibiotics it worked then came back three weeks later. My baby is so miserable itching. I have been bathing her in medicated shampoo but it’s not working, what do you recommend.
Dr. Can you please show your recipes on the screen while you're explaining, because for some of us it is difficult to follow your pronunciation. I'm sorry to say this.
When I give my dog Benadryl it knocks her out and I really don't like the effects it has on her so should I try this on her. Her eyes are always watering and the top of her nose she is rubbing it on furniture answer to stop the itch
My naturopathic vet suggested nettles for my cat’s allergies and we are on day 3. I made one batch and keep in the fridge; I hope that it’s still affective after a few days refrigerated. Since it tastes like grass the cat does not gag or want to kill me when I give it to him, so far.
When we want to change the world, we start small and we built slowly. That’s exactly what you are doing. I am from Ottawa and I am going to Nova Scotia soon when we have the go from the government. I hope I can pass by and say hello.
I have a 90 lb Golden that has had serious allergies his whole life 6 yrs now. I am going to try the dog shampoo bot is it Peppermint Oil or just Mint oil. Are these the same thing?
You should try some Silver Gel for her belly. It is very healing and it's not harmful if she licks it but of course you want it to stay on for relief purposes. Also Collagen is SUPERIOR for skin rashes, eczema and other itchy skin problems. A friend had 2 large eczema rashes for months, one on each hand, she took some powdered Collagen and within 2 hours the rashes VANISHED! It took about another week for all of the redness to go away and the rashes NEVER came back. It is a must have for skin problems. My husband has found great relief from sinus, allergies and inflammation with the Stinging Nettle also. We are giving the dogs a capsule every day and they are more mobile, they are large dogs. It is very effective an without negative side effects. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!!! Love your beautiful dog Tula!!! Blessings to all…
I had a Labrador years ago that had skin allergies. We spent lots of $$ at the Vets running test to find out what was wrong with him losing his fur in patches. He was put on Benadryl for itching and Fish Oil that didn't help so his Dr said find a food with Omega 6, 8 & 9 in it so we did and still had to give him Benadryl for itching for a while but the Purina One Sensitive Systems really helped him stop itching and scratching and his fur came back shiny and thick. I wish I had a Vet tell me about this herb then instead of me forcing him to take Benadryl plus that medicine only made him sleep a lot. We need more Veterinarians that treat with herbs before forcing medicine.
Dr.Andrew my 13 year old chow/pitmix was given to me when she was born to a Mother who died because she got hit by a car. She never recieved any Mother's milk and has had a weak immune system her entire life. Full body yeast is our problem now, she completely healed with a raw diet and one month of ketolazone. Now that she is off ketolazone she is back to greasy yeast around her neck, itchy paws and scabs all over. Do you have anything natural we can try? I will try this tea, but if you have anything else over the counter I would love to try it… Poor girl is suffering in this Florida heat again and we need a little advice.. Thank you Doc.. ☺ 💕 xoxox
have you also tried the honey treatment on Tula? If so did it help at all? Also what type of diet does she have? We went to raw or cooked and it improved but our one dog has a lot of issues so I will try the nettle for her and us. Thanks.
Hello Dr. Andrew, I'll give this a try. I've got two Bichons with severe allergies to certain grasses and most of the commercial food, I switched to raw feeding 5 years ago and they are much better however the grass allergies still persist. My dogs are very itchy and keeps licking their paws which seem sore and the fur around it is orange. I will give this a try and hope it'll help. I also bath my Bichons in malaseb. One more question, what is your opinion about Apoquel ? My vet gave it to me and it worked like a magic however as there's not much research on it I took my dogs off of it. Just wondering what is your opinion about it. Thank you for everything you do x
I have a ten year old german shepard, what are your thoughts on feeding him raw beef and chicken? He is allergic to pork, venison, duck, and carrots and tomatoes. I am seeing the benefits of raw food, frozen to be safe, but he is ten years old.
Wonder how one gives this for a 100 pound pup each day, thats alot to shoot down the throat??
How about congestion…specially when. Sleeping. It sounds like a snore
You need a mortar & pestle! 😂

Does this remedy have to be prepared daily or can it be safely stored for repeated use for 50 # dog who is currently on Apoquel?

Will the nettle help with ear allergies? How much would i use for a 120 lb great dane?
My dog weighs about 110 to 115 lbs, that would take the entire bag of nettle right? lol
Is this also a good thing for liver maybe instead of Denamarin? Looking for a more natural solution?
you are the best! thanks for these alternatives and demonstrating and explaining so well!

nettles are very good for humans so not surprised that dogs can benefit from the anti inflammatory properties, also very rich in iron.
My Australian shepherd has lick granuloma and I can't get him to stop licking his front leg. Do you have any videos on this subject?…Thank you!

How about giving it as an ice cube "treat"? That's how I get green tea into my dog.
