What if all the natural products are no longer working for the pain. What options are there? Would Galliprant be a better choice when Metacam etc. can't be given because they cause seizure in my 12.5 year old dog?
Respectfully Many dogs are suffering and moderate to severe pain supplements and NSAIDS won't do much war on drug has caused pain in animals, this is objectively true
QUESTION. Unfortunately I am already spending 1/5th of my tiny fixed income to buy my dogs food. I have had him on the best his whole life. there isnt anything left to be able to consistently buy him these different things. SO I had already figured out to give him Tumeric with some pepper a few years ago and have given it to him religiously all this time. ( I basically give him what works on MY arthritis and so far so good) I add coconut oil, olive oil and blue green algae. All of these things I can buy for him with my food stamps….THE problem is that I basically have had to guess with my gut how much of what…I have been able to find some amounts of certain things here with the Doc ….BUT the Tumeric I am starting to want to know in perhaps tablespoons how much to really give him. He is getting older and I dont have as much confidence in "guessing" ….Anyone can refer me to a video or info from Doc about amounts.? This is the only online vet I totally trust.
my vet just gave me tramadol yesterday 80mg 1/2 i the morning 1/2 evening , glucosamine give my dog diarrhea . i also give salmon oil and green lipped mussel, doesn't seem to work
If you don't mind, I have a question concerning glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM. If a dog has heart problems, is it safe to give him or her something with those three supplements in it?
I don’t mind natural options, but it seems you’re debunking the pharma option just because it’s “not natural.” Are there NO effective pharma meds? Perhaps you’re one of these people that think it’s more effective to treat bone cancer with Vitamin D than chemo. That usually doesn’t end well.
Our 2-yr old Golden Retriever was diagnosed with Immune mediated poly arthritis after ruling out several tick borne diseases and having a joint tap. He was on Rimadyl then Prednisone. He lost muscle tone but gained weight from the steroids but his arthritis symptoms remained. We slowly weaned him off, very very slowly and he was wonderful and back to his puppy self for a year. Now he’s back to limping and barely able to climb up or get his back end up without a struggle. Wondering what your thoughts are? We don’t want to put him back on the drugs but it’s hard to see him acting so old when he’s only 3.
My Vet prescribes rymadol (sp). He has an arthritic right knee. I need something different. It doesn't seem to bother him all the time just on occasion. Will that accupressure point help with his knee? Thanks!

Hi dr. Jones, my dog has been suffering with hip dysplasia and he’s getting a grayish color on his eye looks likes he’s losing eye sight. He’s on medication for his hip dysplasia and I bought him glucosamine and turmeric snacks for his bone health. I don’t no what else to do to help him at home.

For the fish oil, is it really 1,000 mg per 10 pounds of body weight?

I’m done.
What do you think about adequan. We just started injections on our 8 year old Shar Pei…we use turmeric, fish oil, and green lipped muscles…
What do you think about CBD oils for pain in dogs?
can a 32 pound dog take one tramadol 50mg pill
Tramadol made my already aggressive dog, more aggressive. It was prescribed for pain after her spay procedure.
thank you!

Is human glucosamine/chondroitin/msm ok for dogs. I have a bottle but the tablets are too large. Thanks for the great videos.
