  1. Not sure if I can get my girl to sit still for that. She fights everything. Was wondering about hte ultrasonic scaler. I have tinnitus and looked up the sound for those. It seems to be about I20 db. which can cause hearing loss and tinnitus even if we can't "hear" that high pitch, so I didn't get one. Thoughts?

  2. Dog Gel Toothpaste will get those chunks of tartar off. 2 dabs 2 times a day to keep tartar away. This was a helpful video for people who can not afford expensive cleanings. I did this with our old dog and she did really well.

  3. Ordered the scaler asap without hesitation! We love you Dr. Jones and thank you for all that you do from all the furry ones that love you too.

  4. Sorry, but this is painful for your pet. Plus, you are creating micro-abrasion along the tooth surface that will allow plaque to form more readily in the future. It’s why teeth are polished after scaling in an official cleaning.

  5. Thank you to take the time to show us this! I've done this with my mini poodle and it works wonderfully but I'm worried about some opinions that this can be detrimental on the long term since it damages the enamel. Any thoughts on that? Is it safe if done a couple times a year…?
Thank you so much again for the video!

  6. I need to do this today, but my dog fights like mad even though she totally trusts me every other way. When I try to do her teeth, even super gently, she panics and runs away.

  7. Genuine question no criticism here, is this safe to do without polishing after? I read that the scaler creates small dints in the tooth collecting more plaque over time if not polished after, just not sure how true this is? Would love your help 😊
