I've seen on some vet channels that you need to be sure that the ear drums are intact if you are putting a solution inside the ear canal. Is there a way to know, or does a vet need to tell you?

I didn’t have the plain dr bronners Castile soap. I did make a mixture of the nettles tea, ACV and tea tree oil and fingers crossed my doodle seems to already be shaking his head less. Thanks so much Doc. 🐶

Good information. My dogs ears have more hair than little orphan Annie. She is a Standard Poodle. Looks like Tula. She gets ear infections. Our vet suggests we pluck the hair. Can you advise on how to do that as comfortably as possible?
My heart is broken. I lost a buddy of mine today, Nov 5. His name was Cooper (a Pomeranian). He was about 9 years old. He had been diagnosed with a tumor in his pancreas and was deteriorating quickly. I got to spend 2 hours this afternoon, loving on him. I was his “Nana” and will miss him. I don’t understand why dogs get cancer so much today.

Dr. Jones, Our German Shepherd (healthy 5-year-old female), will start shaking her head and dropping her right ear. She then runs through the house, and finally, like a little kid wanting their mothers, she runs to my wife and drops to the ground, and at this point, she becomes very distressed like she is having a panic attack. We clean her ear with over the counter ear cleaner for dogs. We massage the ear at the base, making that squishy sound, and then when she can no longer tolerate it, she shakes it out. This helps temporarily. But in a day or two, that same ear will begin to bother her. Our vet always says her ears are very clean and sees nothing that could be causing this. It just kills us to see her in such distress, especially when she runs to us for help. Dr. Jones, Please do you have any idea what could be causing this? Could our vet be missing something deeper in the ear canal? Ear Mites? We are at a loss.

My big guy has an ear infection right now – not MRSA. He had a nasty MRSA when we adopted him. His ear canal is so deformed from the chronic infections he had with his prior families. 🙁 He loves water, but cannot shake the one ear canal clear of fluid. Do you think a baby nose bulb would help to get the fluid out, or can the suction harm his ear? This is very helpful, thank you.
