1. Bred & showed Maltese for years been retired a few years now. Tomatos (crushed) mixed in food helps too, but commercial product is best. Havent named it as it may not still be available.

3. Thanks for this video. I have a long haired cat that also has this problem. Is your cleaning solution safe for cats, too? I know many things that can be safely used on dogs will harm cats, so I'd rather check first than be sorry later. Edit: Just a piece of advice for others. My cat is pretty good about letting me clean her eye area, but her skin gets irritated with being wet all the time from both the tears and the cleaning. So, after I clean I just take a clean tissue and dab the area dry. It makes her soooo much happier.

9. I clean the eyes good with warm water then rub Vaseline into the skin well under the eye. It repels the tears.

    It is really great that you mentioned the type of water we give to our dogs because afterall, water is the BIG one when it comes to the good health and wellbeing of our beloved pets, as well as our own.

    We prefer to give our dogs oxygenated distilled water to drink but we only have two water distillers running on our off grid set up. If there is no available distilled water in the drinking section of our store, they usually also stock reverse osmosis as well, so we grab those instead.

    Since seeing your tip on adding ginger to the water, I now do this religiously.

17. My Chihuahua used to get those stains around his eyes until I changed his diet and put him on probiotics. He is 9 years old and looks like a puppy!🐶 No more stains and he has the energy of a puppy. Health begins in the gut…even for us humans.

20. I add a capful of organic apple cider vinegar with mother to their water bowl, which is about 4 cups. I cleaned my dog's eyes daily when they were really bad, now only about once every week or two. Doesn't happen overnight, but they don't have any issues anymore.

21. Great ideas. I have a cavoodle. I thought her tears were grass allergy related. It never occurred to me that it could be her diet. 🤦
    I will definitely try adding some probiotic.

22. I have found a stray dog and took her for care she is about 12 years old she is part poodle and terrier she is all black I found out she has pancreatitis and she is starting to get weaker and. My question is what can I give her to get her weight up she eats up a storm but only weight 11lbs. I don't think that is a good weight but my vet isn't worried.What do you think about the weakness?
