  1. I have this american pitbull dog that had a musty odor and just a little bit of hair missing on the tip of his ears, i didnt think too much of it but wondered why he didn't have a normal puppy smell. At 6 months old is when the terrible itching and red inflamed skin started we thought it was the straw in the dog house we thought it was the food we took him to 2 different vets and one did a thyroid test that was normal and both said he has allergies. Nothing has worked, well steriods helped but made him aggressive. His hair is waxy and greasy, his flanks are red his underbelly is red and his ears are crusty with an odor. I bathe him once a week or once every 2 weeks depends on how busy i am or how bad the smell gets. When i wash his bedding the water turns brown like muddy water and i wash it every 2 weeks. His bedding stinks and the bed stinks. He has red inflamed paws and his chest has crusty spots and inflamed. He has a wound on his back ankle that never heals up. He has a cyst lilpe tumor on his upper back, we have switched his dog food many many times, some make him itch worse than others i try to avoid anything with yeast in it. Ive been giving him cooked ground beef once a day but he has his kibble out too that he hates. Ive noticed the tumor had shrunk after giving him ground meat once a day and his sore on his ankle looks like its healing a little too but nothing has stopped the greasy foul smelling skin or the itching. He was scratching like mad and chewing himself like crazy and so i bathed him, he is not itching now but it will not last long before the itching returns and the smell. One person pet his back and smelled their hands and said it smelled like fritos. Some times it smells like bleach mixed with a chemical its a very bad smell. Im so tired of bathing him and his bedding and my carpet smells like him. Anyone have any idea what this could be? Yeast and seborrheic i have wondered about and have bought seborrheic shampoo but it never cures it or makes me bathe him less. He is now 7 years old….oh and his eyes are runny and it seems like in the spring his eyes get pretty bad. I feel sorry for him and it has made me question if ill ever get another dog after this experience. Ive never had a dog so uncomfortable in his own skin like this one.

  2. My poor baby has been dealing with it for years now and have tried everything the vets have told me. Hopefully this works…….. just worry it will irritate the skin. I’ll cry if she is crying

  3. On humans I use buttermilk. Wash slather it all over affected area. Leave on overnight then wash again. Burns like a booger but works great. Even diaper rash. I've never used it on a dog though. None ever had yeast infections.

  4. I put a comment on the video where Murphy tries different foods and guess his favorite canned food is Organix. Wondering if that brand is your favorite knowing Castor Pollux
and Merrick have been bought out by Purina and Nestle with their love of profitability over quality. We have two very fussy rescue feral cats that wont eat anything but kibble.
I have tried so many brands and food introduction techniques that am about to give up. Cost not an option, just want them on wet food that they will actually eat. Thank You.

  5. I give my Chinese cresties both 14 years old a bowl of filter water and add a half teaspoon of ACV with the mother on a daily basis both are cooked n dried meat eaters with raw fruit n veges snaxs seldom visit vet only for their doggie check ups. 🇳🇿

  6. I used that before it helped for awhile but the thing that took it completely away was CVS Antiseptic skin cleanser also known as Chlorhexidine Gluconate. Dilute this with water, wash affected area for a few days. It goes completely away. It doesn't come back. I still was the area once a week, to keep it clean because it is her groin area, so I would wash it anyway. It took me two years of trying hundreds of things, and finally she is better.
