7. Top where the side shoots or little branches are coming of the stem side by side. If once they start getting bigger and the branches start growing zig zag up the stem it is then you are better off just bending the tops over tho make an even canopy.

8. You forgot 1 key element to topping. Auto flowers. Since topping stunts growth, if you are growing auto flower, then it will affect your yield in a bad way. You might want to consider re upping or adding an editorial note. If you are growing auto flowers than low stress training is recommended.
