I sincerely feel bad for you.
People smoke it to get high, some of whom use the high to help relieve their ailments. Without pot, a lot of people with MS wouldn't be able to function with the rest of society, and a lot of cancer patients would starve because they need food, but are too nauseous to keep anything down. Sure, it's a fun time, but being high mean a lot more to some people.
