"ugly" cakes taste the best
This is by far the best carrot cake recipe I have ever tried. A few things I did was add 1/4 tsp of nutmeg and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. I also added vanilla bean paste to the frosting. This recipe is not too sweet, has very balanced flavors, and is so tender and moist. Seriously such a godsend. PSA. don't skip out on the luxardo cherries its worth it and if you live in NYC and can get ben's cream cheese even better
try mixing the marmalade to the icing and cut out the white sugar, i can guarantee it will look the same
