I really liked everything you said. A strict normal schedule is key I walk dogs for a living and pet sit and I work as a dog bathed in a company. I’m always learning something new on how to deal with all types of aggressive to help animals be calm while I get my job done and satisfy a animals parents
I have a client with a biting and barking issue. She is excited to see me and stays quiet. Then after our time. I transfer the leash and then she completely bites me and I mean jump up bites me, hangs on my sweatershirt with her teeth and excessive barks at me. I am worried that she won't get pass this behavior
Hi I got a 6 year old dog he’s a mix he’s fairly small like Pomerian size, I recently got a puppy chow chow and the 6 year Old dog is biting her! The chow isn’t aggressive at all but the 6 year old dog is idk what to do
Can you help me my twin grandkids boys Are causing aggressive reactions from my 1 yr old American Sheppard They have on occasion smacked her head n pulled her ears or tail. We have been working diligently with correcting this behaviors but the dog had gone from growling at them to twice now snapping at thier face she did not do this to my other 4 grandkids who are years older n when my daughters friend came over with her baby n toddler she growled at them I am so sad and scared I'm waiting for a trainer to call me I was very intrigued by your videos can you tell me good supplements and correct dosages to calm her she is almost 60 lbs She also had similar reactions to any new dogs that come in our house. Wood u suggest a basket muzzle, you said not to punish wich we have not but what about using a kennel as a time out?
A lease free area is perfect to just let your four month old pup get trained to speak dog and person body language from everyone else, just by letting him go, and just chatting with the other dog parents. These places are everywhere and free.
Hi PLEASE HELP thank you for another great video. I have a question ( situation) with the dog moved in to my house ( to the open shed) before i managed to move in. So my house came with a dog. For months she was so afraid she didn't even come close to me. She eat when i wasn't around and run away when i came closer. 6 months passed , she is more relaxed , she follows me everywhere, she loves walking, i can see that ( actually running up and down) she thoroughly enjoy herself, but she still doesn't let me even touch her. She lays down at my feet but if i dear to touch she screams and runs away. Once i tried to catch her but she got crazy aggressive and almost bite me . Also she became territorial., anyone comes to the garden she wants to "eat them" , she do not listen to me but it seems she seeks approval to bark and scare people away, though what ever i say to her she ignores. To add to the problem besides that I'm not able have her vaccinated and sprayed she become pregnant 😔. She is due end of September. Its really an unwanted situation. I want to get her neutered, do not want to have puppies every 6 months. What can i do to make her trusting me and how can i approach her when she gave birth? I would very much appreciate your thoughts on this matter.
My dog is a puppy with fear aggression with dogs. A puppy bit her in her puppy class and she has always been very shy, but ever since she tucks her tail and snaps at dogs who come up to her. I don’t know what to do. Will she grow out of it? The trainer said usually dogs should know to back off when she tensed up.
i have a very aggressive chihuahua mix and idk what to do about it. she'll bark and attack anyone that comes into our house or anyone she sees on the street outside the window or walking around. does anyone have any advice? she's not aggressive towards any of her family humans or dog siblings, only new people and new dogs. i don't think this is fear aggression, she's just trying to keep her humans safe.
My dog hates other dogs, and if another dog barks at her and is close, she loses her mind and goes into kill mode. Not good because she’s a Pit/Boxer mix. However, she LOVES ALL people. 🤷🏼♀️ Guess I need a trainer since she’s my ESA!
We have three street rescue dogs. A Liver Spot Pointer, who is 14 years old and is gun shy and has problems with any unusual noise, pots and pans when I cook and dry kibble going into her bowl, also extremely possessive over toys. Then our next rescue, a small 3 year old Jack Russell/bull mix who is the leader of the dogs but sees me as whole pack leader and our sweetest and most playful Staffordshire Terrier ( pit bull ). He is very laid back, not food aggressive and is very loving. All were very ill or had broken bones ( leg, the sweet pit ) and all were very young when we took them in but Baby, the Pointer being the oldest has not taken to the sweetest dog and youngest, Blaze, the pit and Bubba the smallest Jack/pit mix causes the most trouble and will fight and bite Blaze and defend/ protect Baby the oldest, even if Blaze is just wanting to play. Bubba is the smallest yet the most aggressive and has chewed up a friend's ankle but did no damage except to their jeans but if they had shorts on I do believe he would have broken skin. We live on an acre so plenty of room to run and play and my husband walks them and there is no aggression when he walks them, only in our home and yard when people stop by, meter reader comes or an unusual vehicle drives by. They go nuts and will even attack one another! I just don't understand it. They live in the lap of luxury and never attack us ( but if startled while he's sleeping in my lap, Bubba may snap at me ). We rarely go anywhere and when we do ( vacation ) they come with us. Help!
I have a cane corso at home, he was a stray for his first 2 years of his life. He is very territorial he will not let anyone pet him besides his family. He has snapped at family friends and aggressive even to family. Can you pls help me.
My family got my dog when she was super young and we did not do a good job of training her and now she barks at everyone who walks by the house and just goes nuts attacking the window and when I put something in front of it she will attack that but once it is there she is back to normal, she is not mean to me or my family ever but as soon as someone walks by she will bite our hands if we are trying to stop her. Also she is not a puppy anymore she is 4 now does anyone know why this is and how I can train her to not be mean with how old she is
Hi. My neighbor has a dog, and is basically insane, so I can’t go and tell her she needs to get him into training. She wants a dog that is ready to attack anyone who gets near her house, but she yells at him whenever he barks. And that’s the only time she ever pays attention to him. The dog is really aggressive, but I can see that if he had the right training he would be really sweet. He has gotten a little calmer with me, but still has that deep threatening bark when anyone gets near the fence. And he is a very large Akita, so he is very strong and loyal to his owner. How do I get him to calm down and not be threatened by me?
And I also stay calm and give him positive attention. For example I will talk to him with soothing tones when he first sees me. If he barks then I will sing a calming song, and he will usually stop when I get to the higher, softer notes. And when he does stop, I tell him he’s a good boy and stuff like that. I also stay calm and don’t get scared when he growls at me. But the closer I get to the fence the crazier he gets. I was doing yard work, and I got about a foot from the fence and he started going crazy, and other things I do to calm him down only made him go at it more,. He almost broke through the fence!! What do I do then?
I have an almost 4 year old 95 lbs sensitive female Bernese Mountain Dog. Friends and family are amazed at how well-behaved and sweet she is. Our issue is not other dogs (she thinks they’re all her friends), or pulling. Our issue is her fear of most strangers and even some people she has met. What should I do when I’m walking her and a stranger approaches? Because of her breed, everyone wants to pet her. However, she’s unpredictable. She’ll ignore or be friendly with one person including rolling over on her back, and the next person we encounter she’ll bark like crazy with her tail between her legs. There’s no rhyme or reason to the type of person. She started exhibiting this behavior after we lost our older dog a little over a year ago. Thanks in advance!
My dog will let you pet him h*** he even lets people pick him up but then he turns around out of nowhere and lunges for people's faces He shows no Signs of fear like licking his lips are shaking hes always wagging his tail I need help with this
No one in the house can hand each other anything. Can't touch the broom. Can't touch him of course. Can put leash on but not off. Can't set anything down near him he claims it and will bite if you grab it as well. He demands to sleep with you under your covers but bites you on your sleep if you bump him. My friends dog not mine..any hope?
If this video wasnt able to work for you its fine the important thing is you and the dogs relationship try being with the dog for mostly the time and maybe after some time they will feel alot comfortable with you, their just like humans well… Not their appearance but thwir feelings 😀
Really some new age yuppie crap, like asking your dog what they would like for dinner, I have a shepherd/Doberman mix, and a Belgian malinois and while continuing to search for aggression reduction methods ultimately know that some breeds are prone to agressive over protective behavior. After all, that's usually what they were bred for in the 1st place
That was pretty much useless in telling a pet owner how to correct fear aggression. What I took away was to hire a trainer that specializes in it, and keep everything that could possibly scare your dog away from it. That means changing the pack leaders life to cater to the beta rather than teaching the beta to get in line w the rest of the pack.
Hello. I just subscribed today. I'm binge-watching your videos. I like the ideas you showed they worked for our dog mostly. Our neighbor who always comes to visit the dog absolutely loved now our dog always wants to growl even lunges at, nips, has even bit him. Thankfully he doesn't have a lot of teeth because when we adopted him he had bad teeth. We tried treats at the door & all kinds of different ways to calm him. Nothing works I finally have to put him in another room. He loves everyone else & other animals. The vet said our 18yr old dig has dementia. Any suggestions? 🐕🌰🐷🍂🐶🐩🐞🐾🍁
Like in killer dog movies in different kinds of breed like the pack from 1976 or the pack form 2015 or atomic dog movie whatever killer dog movies and what if your dog turns on you than what or in movie Dogs like why are they attacking people or in the movie night of the wild
This kind of confuses me, my dog angel has been struggling with the aggression for a while. But when comparing her to the normal signs of fear aggression, it's mostly the opposite.
I don't care if your a veterinarian or not and your have a degree and all this stuff . I am not experienced in fear aggression my dogs have never had it for some reason like all of them all my life . I wish some of them would be a little more fearful of people and bite strangers . I just had my loving Rottie get poisoned by jealous strangers in the Philippines where I live . But the punishment thing is simply wrong . Dogs are just like kids if you do not punish your kids and just give them cookies when they behave . The kid will find every means to walk all over you . Sometimes you have to punish kids and sometimes you have to punish dogs . After you punish them they will not do the same things again in fear if the punishment , just like a kid

The second ingredient in the (Stress-Relax) Suntheanine L-Theanine is Xylitol. Isn’t that toxic to dogs?
