Happy ending! I’m on the Next Door app and it’s sad to see how many pets go missing, but sweet to see neighbors help find them 🙂 I’ve considered a GPS collar for my kitten when he’s in the backyard…
Dr Jones I know that feeling. I panicked a couple of times when I couldn’t locate my senior cat also. Foolish me I locked him in the closet not once or twice but three times. How dreadful since there was no way for him to get out & he was in there about 10 hrs. I just gave up & now leave the doors open. He tore up a couple of expensive coats trying to claw out.
I have had runaway cats in the past and it is hard to lose them and that feeling of dread and panic because I loved them so much. Tula looked cute standing there like "what is going on, do you need me to be there?" Missing my poodle Sassy who died recently at 13 years old. While out on daily walks I have said I'm sorry to others who are out looking for a lost dog a couple of times. If you lose a pet it is a universal feeling of loss and regret. Speaking of poodles a lady driving a new looking Volvo asked me as I was out walking my toy poodle Sassy if I had seen a large white poodle anywhere. I looked down at Sassy and through the car window she too looked at Sassy. Sassy was a white poodle only a toy sized one while hers was a standard size. She looked happy for a second looking at Sassy but she was visibly upset about her own dog gone missing. She said someone stole her standard sized poodle who was white just like Sassy out of her car. She told me she ran into the grocery store for a few minutes to get a couple of items leaving her car doors unlocked and when she came back her dog was gone. I knew the grocery store she was talking about and could not believe anything like that could happen there. Maybe because it was a poodle someone stole it. I had another friend whose dogs were stolen by her dog sitter, someone she paid to care for them while she was out of town but were later found when she posted flyers offering a reward.
I'm happy you found Murray, I was feeling sad thinking something happened to him. I know that panic when you can't find your fur baby and they don't come when you call and the worst comes to mind.
I have a cat who doesn’t come when called…ever . And she’s not deaf . Lol… my anxiety kicks into over drive. Only once did she do the great escape. Found her under the house scared out of her cat mind. I crawled under and retrieved her under the steps, but not without having to get a Tetanus shot and antibiotics for myself the next day . She beat me up. Ha ! Go get some sleep Doc ! 😋
Love you channel Dr. Jones! I was able to help my dog alleviate stress and pain from his cruciate injury without surgery. Keep doing what you're doing!
My cats roam around too all night really. I have 5 and when they stay in at night we can’t even sleep because they are so active. I don’t get people who says cats needs to be inside, go even as far as declawing their cats not to ruin their furniture. I can’t imagine my cats happy that way. So for me they need to be closer to their habitat and that is not inside the house.
Well glad to se Murray was just having a cat nap. Your exactly right to most people they;re pets are just like one of the kids and part of the family. Nice to see the story had a happy ending for you all. Microchipping is inexpensive and a great way to help your local shelters identify your pet and it's owner if your pet is lost or found.
I WAS SO AFFRAID FOR YOUR FUR BABY & YOU. I HAVE GONE THROUGH SIMILAR SITUATIONS THINKING SHE SNEAKED OUT DRIVING MY FRIENDS & SIGNIFICANT OTHER CRAZY! THE ONLY COMMON SENSE TO IS…. DO NOT EVER NEVER LET CATS OUTSIDE WITHOUT BEING SUPPERVISED. I'M SO TIRED OF THIS ON FACEBOOK, BEING AN ANIMAL ADVOCATE I SEE IT HAPPEN THEN PEOPLE CRY ABOUT IT ON FACEBOOK! BE RESPONSIBLE AND AVOID IT ALL TOGETHER DONT LET THEM OUT WITHOUT A LEASH OR HARNESS THERE ARE PENS AND OTHER SAFTY ITEMS AVAILABLE TO HELP KEEP YOUR BELOVED PET SAFE YET STILL BE OUTSIDE FOR A WHILE. I OWN SERVERAL OF THEM INCLUDING A DOME LIKE PLAYPEN MADE OF FISHNET. I HAD PURCHASED FROM Drs Fosters and Smith Catalog years ago.I GOT A " "VERANDA" ITS A VERY NICE CAGE LIKE RECTANGULAR SHAPE FITS ON DIFFERENT SIZE WINDOWS WITH A SHORT BERBER RUG, IT GOSE OUT YOUR WINDOW WITH A SWINGING DOOR FROM THE INSIDE SO THEY CAN BREATH FRESH AIR AND SEE BIRDS SAFELY. DONT LET THEM OUT BY THEMSELVES ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. ITS A DANGEROUS WORLD OUT THERE THESE DAYS AND ITS THE RIGHT THING TO DO PERIOD.
I totally know what you went through and have done the same thing. It is exhausting. So glad Murray was safe and sound.
So glad he was safe.
My cat has been missing for a whole week and I’m worried sick. I can barley sleep, eat, or get anything done
My cat was killed last Monday by a pack of coyotes. She was protecting a feral kitten we were trying to catch. Kitten will be missed greatly.
Happy ending!

keep your closet doors always open, Cats can get trapped in a closed closet.
Love you!

One of our cats went missing and turned out she was in a dresser drawer

Awesome he was ok! You obviously really like your cat.
Does he still take insulin?

Thankful for the happy ending. It is definitely scary when a furry friend goes missing.

Oh Murray happy you are safe buddy!😼
Was quite worried at first!!! Relieved you found him though. Sounds like he likes hanging out in your son's room! Maybe they are great friends!!!!
I know your panic. They can get in the smallest places. Hide and seek kitty style. Glad for you.
