Happy Thanksgiving! Right, listen: Don’t stuff the bird! Don’t deep-fry the bird, don’t stuff a duck up its , don’t even brine the bird. Check on YouTube

I love smaller restaurants like the one in this video. I've noticed that smaller restaurants pay much more attention to the quality of the food they're serving and customer service is always better compared to larger restaurants. I will be visiting this place next time I'm in Los Angeles.
Way cool Japanese restaurant established when Boyle Heights had many Japanese Americans living in the area. Now Otomi restaurant is the last outpost of that Japanese American community. However, Little Tōkyō is only 3 miles to the west.
Owner chef Yayoi Watanabè creates an oasis of Omotènashi/hospitality which envelopes her customers with grace and warmth. Wishing Otomisan a long and prosperous future.
Good old fashioned cash registers, easiest way to avoid taxes. I owned 2 Japanese restaurants and I "only know how to do things the old way". Ended up changing to accepting cards when almost 80% used cards. People used to buy the old cash registers off older shops/restaurants because they didnt want to use the new ones that had too many functions and programs and records everything you do.
I went to High School in Boyle Heights in early 1960's, there was a population of ethnic Japanese there at that time. I return to SoCal at least once a year. What Street is this Piece of Heaven located on.
If me and my partner get the chance to visit this part of California I'd love to visit this place!! I am young but not good with commuters, I love how she dose the old way of not just cooking but making the use of older things, older ways, I think it's very cool!! Airiguto gozimasu to the lady and staff of the restaurant, the consumers and the people on this channel who filmed/maid this!! (Munches channel?) Qujanarrussuaq!! (Thank you very much in Kalaallisut Greenlandic Eskimo*inuit* language)

What a legend
I'm Japanese, but her accent is a bit strange
I wonder if she has been speaking English since 1970. I'm not good at English, so I respect her a little as a Japanese person
godbless the simple hardworker
Wait till the hipsters come invading this spot 😂
