I broke so many hair straighteners standing on them before I got my nugsmasher x…….. night and day
For the past few years, I've used some press plates that are designed to work with a large quik grip clamp that sells for about $30. I bought mine used, but new I think they sell for around $200. I've gotten yields up to 27% with it, but having only ten degree increments kind of sucks.
You have to use more pressure with the hair straighteners. I used two c clamps and tighten slowly on both sides 😎

Pliers and squishing .2s at a time is the best yield / results. .8 squish is way to much straightener
As much as I'd love to have the nugsmasher IQ, I'd make better use of the mini tbh. I'm curious as to what my initial cost (Canadian) would be? I'm talking with the press, the bags, everything you recommend..

this test is flawed most people that press with a hair straightener use a c clamp to achieve the same results as a press you cant physically put enough pressure on the straightener with just pure body weight
