Those look like pudgie pie makers! I grew up in Wisconsin and every time we would be camping or had a bonfire we would pull out the cast iron pudgie pie makers and we would make ham and cheese grilled cheese sandwiches, s'more sandwiches, and then little pies with pie filling and white bread. If y'all can't find these then maybe look up pudgie pie makers online and you'd be able to find some of those. I know it's not the same but it's close enough 😄
“Pro” tip.. when chopping everything for the mirepoix, do the onions last (also after being kept in the fridge) to avoid a lot of tears. Unless you are a sadist. ; )
My parents had a toast tight from Norway when i was a kid. It made the best grilled cheese. I had no idea what it was called until now, thank you! Hoping i can find one
I find it fascinating when people say in these videos that these stove top toast pressers (tostex) are hard to come by, because they're widely available in Brazil.
I might use cheddar or mozz if I try this! Toast-ites are still being manufactured and they're selling it on Amazon.
It triggers me that I’ve lived on Kauai my whole life and have never had these. I gotta try make them now
This gave me an idea of how to make a great Jamaican beef patty with the toastie cooker.
So the man made a stuffed grilled cheese lol
That looks disgusting! I’ll have 4 please.
We have something like that here in the Philippines but we use burger buns coz it's already round. No need to cut the bread corners.
I bought one of these when I was In South Africa and I always use leftover chicken curry in it and it’s so good
I do have that option I live in San Diego California MADAFAKA….love all your recipe cuz
Chef Sheldon is the man!! Wish we had a Tinroof in Phoenix, AZ. I can go for that mochiko chicken + a dime bag right about now!
I think I'd just eat that filling over a bowl rice. Rice is life. No rice, no life.
Great video! Who tattooed your left arm man? Was it Samoan Mike at all? Thanks man
Making these this weekend! Ordered some replica Toast-tites.
He said his momma said “1 clove means 6” 😂 that’s me LOL
Cream of mushroom soup is definitely a mother sauce 🤣
Love Sheldon. It's always good seeing indigenous cooks coooking indigenous food. So many foods in occupied areas are made out of necessity.

if he was on this season of Top Chef, he would've totally made a version of this for the Quickfire Challenge using Campbell's Soup

Let's just waste food and chuck it in the bin.
Get a grip and toast the whole thing, stop concentrating on aesthetics and novelty – infact grow up.

It's racism that causes the obesity problems in these communities.
Mahalo..moving to Maui in July
No disrespect to fair food but this looks kinda gross

I can’t be the only one out there that while cutting an onion doesn’t bother me

You can make this with a good can of chili if you’re feeling lazy af
