  1. My Newf used to get them in the summer.
The fastest thing I ever found cost $0
Take a bowl of ice water and a hand towel.
Soak the towel and lay on hot spot (not drippy). It draws out the heat. Do it until all the heat is gone. Do this several times a day and it heals way faster than putting anything on it they'll just lock off

  2. Dr.Jones PLEASE HELP ME!?? Dog has been having recurring Cysts and inflamation in between his toes up to his nail. It looks very red and angry. He's been on Cephalexin for almost a month has had 2 Treatments of 7 day Animax. The Cysts are gone and IDK what to do. He is licking and limping a bit. Vet recommended Cytopoint but he is already on Vetmedin and Flurosemide.I dont want to keep giving him meds. Please any advice or leads will be much appreciated by me and my dog Dusty. Do you have an email??

  3. Dr Jones, (in general for all your viewers) is there anything that we can do to keep our dogs from developing these hot spots this time of year?
I have a Golden Sammy that I got from the pound. She has a thick long double coat that I cut for summer. I live in the deep south and keep her inside most of the day due to the heat. Wondering also if maybe shampoo residue may have been left on the skin? Might that cause it….especially if the shampoo has conditioner in it? TY…..I started following this remedy today on my fluffy dog. What can we do to try to avoid these "reservoirs of evil" on our best friends skin?

  4. My 16 yr young chihuahua/terrier mix has a bad build up of tartar and that's my fault I was going to get his teeth cleaned but they said he wouldn't make it thru the gas that put him under cuz he has a weak heart. Is there any home remedy I can use to help with the infected teeth and pain he's probably experienceing. She's an strange vet, she won't help me cuz she said he last stage of heart failure of which I'm very disappointed in her. Could you help my little Mickie? Please. That was in March and he's still hanging in there. I love him so much, again please help me.

  6. Hi! I know you’ve made numerous videos on your channel about different diets and dog food recipes for homemade dog food. I was wondering if you would be able to make a video about what your take is, as far as vegan diet for dogs. I know it’s quite controversial, according to many people but I have also known people with dogs that appear to be living happy, healthy long life, While on vegan diet. I am more inclined to trust what you have to say BECAUSE your integrity is more important than telling people what they want to hear. You have demonstrated this time and time again, IMO.
I guess I would just like to know if you think it can be safe for dogs and if so, what would you feed them? Are there some basic ingredients that you would include/exclude from their diet? Also supplements?

  7. Doc, how can I help my English Bulldog, Lucy, with an inflamed tail pocket? She's 9 years old and lately it's been bloody and oozing. I can barely care for it anymore because she fights me so much. She also has a never-ending antibiotic resistant ear infection.
She's in pain all the time. Malacetic wipes for her tail have been my go to and she has an antifungal, anti? ear cleaner that I use once a week. But nothing clears up either problem. The vet gave me a pink liquid to debris her tail pocket and it must hurt. Lucy freaks.
Any help will be appreciated. This breed, if not healthy, should not be bred. My poor baby. Thanks. 🐶

  8. Thank you for this! My dad's Chi mix is scratching raw spots (it smells like yeast). Finally got my dad to agree to cooking for the dogs – one of your recipes but I left out anything sugary – and stopped all store bought dry food. Bathed her Tues using a tea tree shampoo & ACV. It is much dryer but still hot (not bad for 24 hours!). Will use this on her tomorrow. Thanks again – we had a total fail with the vet's recommendations. I had a vet years ago tell me a little Gold Bond Powder could be used to keep the flea-bite dermatitis dry – your opinion?

  9. Thank you I will try this. I use apple cider vinegar. It works. But it seem to burn him. He scratches his under arms and under his back legs. It do not get sore but it gets red and heartless. When he stop scratching the hair grows back.
