  1. You are totally on board‼️this has been so beneficial for so many humans and animals. Thank you for caring enough to think outside the box. You Rock. Thanks for helping with my cats conjunctivitis 😻💥💥💥🥊

  2. Well now Doc, I couldn't understand why my dag wS behaving like she was tripping… Then I descovered I have magic mushrooms growing in my grass.. I watched her one day just to see… I was right, it was both weird and funny when I sussed it out! She doesn't do it now but she's an old girl I guess she just needed it? Thanks Doc 🌞💗🌍💗🌞 keep shining

  3. NO, NO, NO! Everyone I ever knew that used mushrooms ended up having mental health issues. You have lost your credibility with me for even suggesting this. Different mushrooms have different intensity of the drug in them. To me this would be animal cruelty. Like slipping a Mickey in someone's drink without them knowing about it.

  4. Lots of human studies being done here in Colorado. I'm open for trying this. If it could healthily help our pets, more power to the studies. I didn't use them in my teen years (a long time ago), but I have always wondered about the therapeutic uses as with the ways of the American Indian. I believe Nature can cure all that ills us.

  5. I heard that valerian root is where they get valium. They take something from nature, and mix some chemicals into it…and vuala!…now Big Pharma can patent it and make a huge profit off of people's suffering.

  6. Hi Dr Jones, you have been a huge help for all my dogs.
just checking what you think regarding my 3 year old Husky with Cryptorchidism. Do you suggest having them removed to prevent any complications?

  7. I have a dog who, after an overnight at the hospital, has hypersensitivity to sound and sometimes touch. It rarely happens with a visual obstruction, but it has happened. We started with Kava Kava, then moved to CBD oil. Still a problem. The response to stimuli is as if she is shocked. Sometimes her body will stop until she regains her composure. Things like chip bags bother her. It’s not always the same thing. We had to oil all the doors. Sometimes if the floor boards creak, it will set her off. I prefer natural substances to human psych drugs. I’ll keep my eye on this a while and see what the studies show. Thanks for this video!!!

  8. So I watched a video one time of a dog owner who's dog was acting weird so they took it to the vet who diagnosed it as psilocybin ingestion and not to worry. They took video when they got home and it seemed like the dog was having a good time in an altered state of mind. About time we are studying the affects of LSD, DMT, psilocybin etc. If there are positive uses with humans one could suggest dogs as well. Good work Dr Jones 👏 👍

  9. @ Vetenarian Secrets What about Raccoons. He just opened his eyes about 2 weeks ago. I found him about 1.5 weeks before his eyes opened. His mom and her mom and so on would drop the kits off at night leaving them here outside with my cat. I guess he basically was there family babysitter for about 5-6 years. My neighbor took 2 and one was dead in this tree here where we live. His 2 died about 1-2 weeks ago. My baby is doing 👍. Growing fast. I guess my homemade formula was better than the replacement milk my neighbor was using.

  10. Seems like UC Davis might be on "psychedelics"! Grant studies get a bit over the top sometimes, but they keep their money flowing! I am skeptical, and critical about the "humane" claims of some studies.

  11. Love little miss poodle 🥰 Some owners are already treating their animals with weight-proportionate doses of cbd and thc, so psychedelics would be a logical extension of that IF the evidence shows it could be of benefit in certain areas. Interesting that female rats showed a decrease in brain cells with psilocybin, whereas anecdotally and in some research it shows that in humans it can help reverse brain damage and even brain tumours. Goes to show it's not always obvious to transpose evidence between humans and the animal kingdom and even between species, but to be open-minded and cautious. Nice little video!
