  1. Ahhh Dr. Andrew~ my heart goes out to you and yours, even if I'm watching this 5 years later. I had to say goodbye 2 years ago to my beautiful girl ~ an English Yellow Labrador. She was just 10.5 and diagnosed with Diabetes. She became so sick that she wouldn't eat anything, therefore I couldn't start her on the insulin. Just 2 days after the diagnosis I had to say goodbye in an Animal ER here in San Diego. When her time came I so wanted her last breath to be in her own home surrounded by her family but she didn't get that chance. It is like a danger in your heart saying goodbye,I cried for 8 months. She was so special~ she got me thru the sudden loss of my wonderful husband, only had 1 year with him. I finally have another~ yes another yellow, really a white Labrador male named Moon 🌙. He's 10 months and the love of my life! So glad your heart has hopefully mended by now. I love Tula. I love you. Thank you for all your holistic advice 🙏 ❤️

  2. Lewis reminds me of my black lab, Tornado. She passed away almost six years ago and it was the most heartbreaking thing I've ever experienced. But she has such a gentle personality and was so loving. I was blessed to have her for ten of her twelve years. I hope that by now you have come to a point where when you remember Lewis you are brought more joy than sorrow. Thanks for all your videos and God bless you!

  3. I'm seeing this late, but still extend my condolences…my lab-mix died/was euthanized for oral melanoma about the same time. It's still hard to think about him, without strong emotions. Labradors are simply the best dogs, imo…

  4. When it is time that old age catches up with our pets it is heartbreaking.
It is a time to comfort our pet as much as possible. Euthanizing is a sad.
However, it is a moment when we allow our pets to pass on with dignity.
There's no joy to allow him/her to go on surviving in serious discomfort.
Most importantly we know their life was the best time spent with us.
Their memory will be with us long afterward and forever. Is it time to find a
new pet? Your own heart will tell you, you are ready. A new pet is not to
replace your last pet. Each has their own uniquepersonalityWhen you've
had a pet & lived with your pet for acontinuous time, you've proved yourself
a good pet parent. Giving anotherpet a forever home is providing love to one
deserving new friend & in returnthelove you'll once again receive is priceless.

  5. Dr. Jones just found your website and your wonderful teaching. I am so, so sorry about Lewis. What a beautiful dog! Beautiful shiny coat, posture. I can hear and see the pain on you, of loosing him. So sorry. I had few things to ask you about my maltese, but I think I will wait for better time to do it. I do relize its been 5 years, but still. Hope you doing well and you got another Lewis to make your day. Everyday.

  7. I’m very late in seeing this video. I watch several of your videos but this one is so sad. In 2019 I too lost my family pet his name was bear he was 12yrs old we also had to have him put to sleep. It was a moment we will never forget.

  8. The pain was too much…i did the same for my girl. Back in the day dogs just didnt get this stuff. Dogs didnt get cancer on the regular. As a matter of fact cancer wasnt really common at all. My friend in Switzerland says cancer is very veryvery rare women dont get breast or uterine cancer it isnt common. Its this continent. I am so sorry for your loss i am with you in spirit and sending you a loving supportive embrace.

  9. I’m so very sorry for your loss he was so beautiful.. I know it’s been 5 years, but the loss is always there..
I’ve just lost my beautiful Linka, female black German Shepherd, she was my service dog, my sweet helper, my best girl, my whole world.. so I know how much it hurts.. 😥💔🙏🐾😭 I miss my Linka so very much!

  10. What a beautiful family tribute to Lewis and how kind of you Dr Jones, to share such emotional content. Hard as it is to go through, I consider it an absolute blessing to be able to assist our pets out of continuing pain/suffering. 💖💖💖
