Beef femur bones but never past the bulbous ends. Is that ok Doc? Great Pyrenees/ Labrador mix. Very aggressive chewer. He spends a great deal of time chewing large 20lb plus wood logs no kidding! He never attempts to eat the wood but prefers to strip the bark although I'm certain some small amounts are being consumed based on the small floaters of wood seen in his water bowl, a sure sign it's time for fresh water😮. Should I be concerned? I've checked and we have no trees that are considered poisonous to canines. I trust your judgment and will await a hopeful response. Thanks Doc! ❤😊
it's a bone is raw and it is beef or if it is pork or deer it is not good to give a Pitbull Rottweiler Doberman Pinscher or any kind of fighting dog that has any fighting in their past history is not good to give them
Dr. Jones .. Would you consider doing a video on why dogs/puppies Dry Heave or Retch first thing in the mornings and when to be concerned.. Thank you 🐾
My sweetheart loved bones! I would give him marrow bones because he loved them. Then one time his tooth broke off, a slab fracture… a year later the same thing happened. No more bones now. It's a bummer but it's saving his teeth. Love you Dr. Jones!❤❤❤
But Dr. Jones, if you don’t give kibble, and they crunch up big bones, how do they get enough calcium? I have started my German Shepherd on a mostly all raw meat diet…but thought I should supplement the meats with liver and bones. She does crunch them up, though.
My 🐶dog 😻cat and i🤗 LOVE YOU DrJones♥️ and everything you share with us. If only all vets took a leaf out of your book😍 Blessings to you and your family🙏🐶🤗🇦🇺

What would you suggest instead of bones?
I absolutely LOVE your videos!

I believe they also say to stay away from pork bones due to the fact they splinter easily.
Are there specific bones to avoid? I have 4, 12lb shihtzhus.
Thank you Dr Jones.

Thank you, Dr. Jones❤❤
Frozen or thawed? Our breeder friend said frozen on the beef marrow bones and we have had no issues knock wood, but wondered your thoughts.
