Had the same boots for my corgi when I lived in Manhattan. Corgi also hated the booties, both inside and out…but at least the salt didn't burn his paws. Musher's secret helped on fresh snowy days.

There is always one that falls off when we put them on our dog. They do help – when they stay on.

Anyway, when your dog walked on streets, where the municipality sprayed salt for melting the ice, you should rinse the paws after it.

Here's what we use for our beagle in Toronto: thick baby socks. held in place by electric tape around the paw (above the dewclaw) and party balloons (with skinny part cut). All supplies from Dollarama. Works like a charm. No other boots stay in place.

I just got boots for my pup because she ran on some ice and cut open her paw so I'm a fan.
My dog freezes like a statue with booties on her feet! She will not move!! Lol

Spray PAM or any aerosol veggie spray, on the bottom of each paw. Works PERFECTLY.
