Hip Hop has never had OG's in the game til now. I'm 35 & its not much older. We just started classifying classic & old school hip hop/rap in, what, the last 10 yrs or so? It's not a "young man's" genre…there has just never been anything but young dudes til the OG's grew up to nowadays. I love that I can listen to the old shit & sift through the new shit to find good shit now. Some of these young cats are fire. But very few of the collective, in my opinion.

I came home last night after a long day just on time to the versus starting and was about to start spitting/practice some writens as it's Been a while and hav been wanting to see what I sound like or if I like it.

I remember being in 5th grade (2002-2003) and starting to explore hip hop on my own, but I felt I couldn’t keep up with the new shit so I said fuck it I’m gonna listen to all the old shit. KRS quickly became one of my favorite rappers. Definitely in the top 10 of all time. Respect.
