I don't get the concept of equating great food with French esque cuisine and on top of that calling it Indian food. Western emulation at its best. Pretty sure there are far better places serving authentic Indian cuisine, but which don't fit the mould of Western brilliance.

With food its the flavour that excites you, the love and honesty with which its made ,makes it wholesome ,and if it can attract your eye, and be nostalgic in a way that it takes you back to a memory, it turns into an experience! It’s not fair to name only these as the most exciting, to be honest some are just pretentious.

Only been to The table and wasabi, both are great restaurants. Both also a hop, skip and jump from each other.
But i also love my, veg cheese toast, a cycle wala medu vada, idli and vada/samosa pav, all on the street.

Why not just say "so yeah this is a pretty lucrative business and I figured if I do everything other successful restaurants are doing I can probably make a shitton of money" instead of talking about grandmothers and pushing limits and shit. Luckily been to all. Yes food is good (for that price it should be). But nothing extra ordinary. I can name many other restaurants, which are even better and probably not gonna put that big dent on your wallet, and they are exiting as well.
