Wow. I’ve been craving some authentic tamales since my childhood. I use to go to a food truck at a market and it was the best food I’ve ever had thin tamales full of so much flavor. The large tamales do not compare. I will forever dream of those food truck tamales lol
And im so happy he survive all what he and his family have been threw and he is bringing love to the american people but there are some idiots out there that see them as the enemy and have done the unthinkable evil to our mexican brothers and sisters!!!
My abuelo told me this when I was young and it holds to this day. If you go to get Mexican food from someone and they either barely speak English or are large them that’s how you know the food will be good.
Great feel good video until you get to the end and him and his son talk about his hospitalization and battle with covid. Who TF you think paid for that? American citizens, that's who.

First of all, it doesn’t matter if you go around the world you don’t change the name of the food is not tamale it’s TAMAL for one piece and TAMALES plural word for many TAMALES ! T A M A L!
I want to drive to Chicago right now and buy a tamale from this gentleman. Class act, hard working and represents everything great about immigrant culture.
Never heard of using milk in masa unless they are sweet tamales- I researched and didn’t find one reference to using milk in non-sweet varieties: i.e. Pork or Chicken. Someone please educate me..
I know the recipe is top-secret but judging from the prep I can see that one ingredient in the masa is probably arm hair.
Imagine living in a country for 20 years and not speaking the language. Only in America
