  1. I am Brazilian and live in Rio de Janeiro. Everybody knows the police here is corrupt and can do very bad things. But this video is very biased. In any country in the world, if a policeman sees somebody with a machine gun on the street, he will be allowed to shot and neutralize him. Here, the left, including mrs. Cecília Oliveira, made a huge scandal when this proposition was being discussed. And in the end it was not approved.

Rio might be the only city in the world where the police was formally prohibited from entering favelas (from 2021 until now). You can guess what happened: drug gangs expanded their control and intensified other activities, such as extortion of favela inhabitants, more drug parties, building physical barriers against police incursions, acquisition of more guns and ammunition.

It’s a shame that the only version that gets international recognition is theirs. Every Rio de Janeiro inhabitant knows it’s not like that. Here, we say the left only wins in the rich neighborhoods, never in the favelas.

  2. What a Big Load of Biased Crap!
Gun violence went down back to decades ago during Bolsonaro's mandate and his gun laws.
And, if the cops shoot a guy who is shooting at them with 762 and .50 calibers, it's NOT MURDER!
As this useless video said the favelas are run by the drug lords. That's true, and no one goes in there without their permission. Guess who was welcome to campaign there during the elections? I will help you. Not the right wing guy.

  3. My parents lived in Brazil and they told me how F==KED UP it was and don`t ever go there and that I would get Kidnapped, Raped, or Murdered. My research has shown me that the country will turn into a more violent and oppressive country and the economy will take a big hit and only get worse because they are getting closer to the CCP which is a Dictatorship government all this is due to the new President

  4. It’s not so much gangster in the United States, as it is a lot of people in certain states with private arsenals of assault rifles. This year alone, we have had almost 200 mass shootings were four more people were killed, not including the gunman. That doesn’t include thousands of other murders with less than four people. It also doesn’t include the average of 1000 people who get murdered by the police in the United States each year; most them black, Hispanic and native American, but not all. Most of these killings never make it to the news. The people of the United States need to get this app.

  5. Brazil obviously needs more guns. (sarcasm)
What's especially sad is that the thugs murdering people, like Marielle Franco, have everything to gain from the change they're trying to bring.

  6. This video is criminal, an absurd lie on so many levels and they want people to believe that it's the absolute truth. 99% of the bandits weapons enter illegal in the country and the great majority of violent crimes are made with illegal weapons. Preventing people from buying legal weapons has absolute no effect on Brazil's violence, the bandits even like it because they know that their victims stay more vulnerable and it's easily to rob and commit assaults. Everything what this woman with bad English defends is actually what makes Brazil extreme violent.
