Runtz is just a lesser version of bubblegum imo. Never had a Runtz or Zkittles that's given me headrush from the smell alone like a good bubblegum or cheese does. Don't get me wrong, they're enjoyable terpenes profiles but they don't stand out or smack me in the face.
I miss when there was some variation, going back 10 years it was a lot less common for several mainstream strains to share such close terpene profiles like they do today. I'm not saying modern genetics suck, just that they're all so similar.
You basically got less than a handful of choice regarding flavours.
•Sweets (candy) profiles, like Zkittles, Runtz, Zushi, Sherbet etc…
•Dessert/creamy profiles, like Wedding cake, GSC, Gelato etc …
Chemical/fuel strains, like Star/chemdawg, Gorilla glue, Diesel, (a lot of) kush.
•Candle wax and vomit strains, aka Haze 😂
What happened to Blueberry? Or Jack Herer? Or Sage? There's a lot of old school genetics with incredibly unique flavours that have been overlooked in favour of generic dull Cali strains. I suppose I'm not overly surprised that America really likes mediocre junk food flavoured strains 😂
