Doctor, we have a shepadoodle That We rescued from a shelter. She is 6 years old now and freaks out severely when we take her to the groomer. She cries and screams the whole time and will not let them groom her. I can't do it because I'm disabled. What medication can I give her to take her to the groomer that will ease her anxiety and panic attack? Because she's half standard poodle and half German Shepherd, her hair does grow long dreads. She is so sweet and loving. She's just terrified of everything. What medication can we give her or ask the vet to give her to go to the groomer?😇🙏❤
I just read about that trial they had with dogs with ME. It looks promising thanks for the information . Wish it came out sooner for my dog which didn't get till he was 9 years old. But hopefully it will help people that has dogs with it.
Hi. You briefly mentioned Addison’s disease. My dog was diagnosed at age five. She’s now a couple months from her tenth birthday. She seems for the most part to be well—great appetite. But she is becoming more and more fearful. She will only go in certain rooms in our house and is visibly scared to walk in front of the refrigerator. Many times she does not even want to go out for a walk—the backyard is fine for her. I feel bad for her but I don’t want to push. She’s on fludrocordisone 2x daily and prednisolone if she’s going to be in a stressful situation. Is this fearfulness a symptom of Addison’s or something else? Her own vet says it’s just her personality but why is it getting worse as she ages?
To be honest when I read the title I thought what in the world and laughed. 😂 Btw I had to take my boy cat to his Vet today because he is sick sneezing and congestion and he has an upper respiratory infection and is on antibiotics.
Well hell this video came a little late. My Shar-Pei was throwing up kibble and more after that to the point it was just yellow bile. I wasn't sure if the medication he was on for his UTI was partially to blame. But I noticed he was still getting sick even after he finished the medication. I then thought to try a slow feeding bowl to see if that made a difference and I think it has he hasn't gotten sick since. The Vet wanted to blame the food I have him on even though he's been on the same food for 2 years. I have him on a high quality brand of dog food already I wasn't going to put him on something of lesser quality like Royal Canin.
I have been a fan of dr jones on youtube for a few years , and almost a year on FB, I learned I was doing so much right after a professional confirms it, which gives me comfort knowing I've done mostly good when it comes to my dog's health, x
That is the MOST RIDICULOUS THING I HAVE HEARD, I AM NOT WATCHING THIS VIDEO, OR GIVING the video one second of my time and I love you you know that, you obviously have to be speaking g out against this correct???? i just cant watch I am so pissed off thry would even make a pill like that for a DOG OR ANY ANIMAL … only of rhere were 2 left on earth, even then I would let God decide what would happen concerning breeding… this is such bullshit.. the pharma companies sure are evil
Hey Doc, regarding the current global situation and possible outcomes of it, humans use iodine as anti radiation prevention or treatment, in case it gets to that point, can dogs use (ingest) it to?or is it toxic or harmful in any way?
Dr Jones. A year ago my dog got MESO after surgery for bloat. She was on viagara for awhile and now the esophagus has improved, xrays showed this, and now just gets pepcid ac every morning . She was unable to eat kibble , would regurgitate, and was on canned food only, watered down a little to make it like thick porridge but not dry. If it is too dry it can get stuck in there. If she does not get the pepcid after couple days she starts to have issues. She now gets half cannned and half SOAKED kibble WHERE THE KIBBLE is then mashed with a potato masher and then half can mixed into the kibble and some water to make it slippery like thick porridge. I have also had her sit and give forkfuls of canned food. The key was getting that viagara to work on the after surgery MESO which took almost 3 months. I think setting the dog up for success was important as she had lost too much weight. She now eats 3 times daily down from 4 to 5 times.

Does this work on cat as well? My cats often vomit undigested kibble?
Wow very interesting
