6. This happened to me earlier this year, i took the pot outside and let it go extenguish itself on the driveway

9. If this happens put a lid on it. The fire is fueled by oxygen in the air. You can also try a damp towel so long as it cuts off air flow. The water will exacerbate the grease fire as seen in the video.
