We’ve been eating 5.5 – 7 ounces of wet food a day. Distributed in partial meals.
We went away from the temptation treats and switched to freeze dried beef liver and chicken hearts.
Due to his hip and the way he basically stands up to poop, he has trouble forming stools. It forms just fine in his colon up UNTIL how it will come out and he was constipated and straining before I got him checked out and we have made a lifestyle change for life.
It’s not Megacolon but it is something to keep an eye on for … forever.
My vet wants me to give him Miralax for the rest of his life. So I give him 1 Churu wet treat at night to help loosen his stools.
He grew up on kibble and I didn’t introduce the wet food until a few months ago.

Facts you probably didn’t know I discovered from my fat looking cat: My cat is fat but not really, I squeezed my cat (Lightly, since I don’t want to murder my cat) and I noticed her skin was a little more thin and her bones were wider on the sides and shoulders, so it’s natural for most cats to look fat but it’s their bones, or either they eat to much-
Huh. We never had an issue with cat weight, but then we feed mostly wet food. There's always some kibble on the side for when our current cat wants to nibble, but she, and our previous cat, very rarely does so.

Fyi…Scales WON'T work properly on soft or uneven surfaces.. (like using that chair, ahem! 😉) They'll say you're much lighter than you really are. Best way, put the scale on an even hard floor, no rugs, weigh yourself and then weigh the cat and subtract the difference. 👍🏻

Omg now that makes so much sense!😭 As soon as we put my little prince on dry kibble he just kept growing! Now he's a cardboard camping black and white marshmallow. I'll have to tell my mom that we need to get him off the dry stuff! No wonder he's always meowing! Because it doesn't fill him enough.

All I had to do was not feed our cats dry cat food and all and they dropped from 15 to 8 lbs on my females that did weigh 13 and 15 to 11 lbs. on my males.

Dear vet specialist my cat is losing weight very rapidly hes weak.He used to go out nightly and he would get into fights.He has his rabies shot.Suddenly he has fever .Im giving him lcooked livers and gizzards to keep up his strenght; and he eats it well.I just ordered the same vitamins yhat you got murry your cat on one of your videos.I dont know whats happening to my raziel.can you please give me an idea.Im giving him amoxicillian for his fever; its brought down alot of fever but hes still warm.Does he need avitamin drip???? Dr. My cat is having trouble eating. Shes lost alot of weight. She growls and hisses when shes eating and then vomits. The vet said it was swelling in the throat or feline stomatitis. But nothing has change after medication. Wht can I give my cat.
