  1. So for awhile, I got a small following on youtube (different channel) and I quit for personal reasons. I do plan on starting it back up again though. With the 300 subscribers I had, I got a few messages like this. It gave me more respect for the youtubers that I watch and rarely talk to.

sorry Drew, I realized I messaged you on facebook, but you're right, I agree with what you say.
I don't really know you, I know the "you" in your videos
and I wish it was different, I really think you are a great person and meeting you was just amazing. sorry for bothering

  3. Stranger danger! This is so true! People get so wrapped up thinking they know people just by watching all of their videos, but like you said, they only know what you want them to know. Everyone needs to understand that Youtubers, even the 'famous' ones, have a life other than this site. They have families, bad days, sick days…just the same as us. Subscribed! 😀

  4. I am also a youtuber and people don't understand that we have real lives and not just Internet ones we could be really mean to people on youtube but genuinely nice in real life

  5. I wonder if he feels proud that he is perpetuating the cycle of consumerism and ignorance by visually declaring that he is "anti-conformist" and "individual" by conforming to fashion trends and by releasing content focused on vanity, narcissism and unimportant discussions about topics which aren't enlightening or entertaining. He is ensuring that his viewers stay trapped in this stupid cycle where mediocrity and aesthetics are praised above soul, intelligence and content. Don't apologize

  6. more experienced viewers like Troye Sivan, Kingsley, Tyler Oakley haven't moaned about what viewers say or think, they get on with it & appreciate how much their fans like watching their vlogs & videos. Troye share everything with his fans, he recently made a video about his sexuality&said he feels like his viewers are genuine friends of his, it's not like your not gonna get any comments like that but yeahh, I like your channel anyway:')

  7. Clearly the start was a joke, obviously. I just think some gullible younger viewers might get offended, that's all. I'm not saying it's right that people invade your personal space, because you're a human just like all of us.

A lot of kids as young as 9 and 10 are on social networking sites in the era we're living in. I personally think they're too young and that's why some expect you to respond. Maybe hypocritical was a bad word, but that's just what I believe. Sorry if I offended you.

  8. We are in a world where everything is demanded by technology. People post everything on social networking sites (I'm sure you included), the younger fans are going to want you to respond because they see people such as JennaMarbles ect, YouTube is their job, so they think that most YouTubers do it as a career.
I just think it's a tad rude and hypocritical for you to say all that, then at the end you say, 'remember to like and subscribe'… they're getting you noticed you say that about them…
