I can't believe this video is from OVER A YEAR ago and I just today saw something about this in the mainstream media for the first time. This is insane, so many more pets were probably killed and injured in that time and they already knew it was a problem.
My experience and opinion. This is what most people were upset about when it came to the past 2 years. People were afraid to believe the government agencies that said, "YES! An untested and brand new medication isn't harmful and is safe for everyone to use to help get a handle on this brand new illness that we haven't had time to study."
I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about these collars, lots of claims that their pets have had seizures after using them due to some of the chemicals used. Ive been using flea collars by a company named "brerie" for a few months now and they seem to be working really well. All the ingredients are natural like lavender and peppermint so at the very least I know my pets are safe
Do you have any suggestions how to make your own tick and flea repealing dog collar ? Can I just sew fabric over the regular collar and rub in DE and add essential oils ?
My dog had one for 8 months- he had it when a family member gave him to us- i replaced it with another yesterday and my dog was hyper twitching seemingly not able to relax but seeming to want to Im not sure if it was seizures but he never acted that way before and seemed fine once it was off
I was looking for a flea collar for my max the cat and seresto supposed to be like the best I read the reviews TERRIBLE I felt so bad for the people I ordered shengko and praying it's OK I love my max and couldn't imagine hurting him unintentionally
I have been using that brand of flea collar. For 3.5 years my dog has not had any issues medically. Not that style. Maybe it was that style of collar. I hate to say it but it's not enough info. You mentioned the brand but again it may be that particular style of flea collar that they offer. I just use the regular grey flea collar that they offer. But I will keep an eye on her. I just put a new one on today.
Could be a counterfeit collar. I’ve used Seresto on all my pets and no issues. They are a ton of fake collars. People don’t try and save money from buying online from a fake seller.
I wish I knew. My small Maltese boy developed a neurological illness, similar to cancer. After months of chemo treatment, he went back on Seresto (neuro and vet said it should be ok) and he never recovered and passed away just after turning 2. I wish I knew….
Do not support the use of pesticides, period. They’re harmful to the environment, your pet, and you. These companies have ties to the government that’s why the FDA will not ban their products. All they care about is their profit and bottom line.
I purchased a Hartz Ultraguard Flea & Tick collar for my cat because I could feel ticks about his neck area. I stretched the collar to activate the poison as instructed on the box. Placed the collar on "George" yesterday and he began licking and biting the collar! This alarmed me of course to I went on YouTube and found numerous stories of cats being poisoned to death. So I took the collar off of George and threw it in the trash straight away! You are quite correct that the Food & Drug Administration is no longer protecting the public. Almost all of our politicians here in the USA legislate and de-regulate for the benefit of their corporate donors. There is very little democracy left in our country, we have become an oligarchy – Same as Russia.
Our 14 year old lab mix stopped eating 4 days ago. She started vomiting and was incontinent of bowels. We thought she had come to the end of her life. We fed her pedialyte via oral medicine syringe, and put puppy pads under her between trips outside. She was lethargic. Yesterday my husband noticed a deep red belly rash and also redness and swelling on her paws. He took off her 2 week old Seresto flea collar-she has worn them before…today, we have a dog that is eating and drinking on her own. Urinating. Waiting for a bowel movement. She is resting mostly, and we are keeping an eye on her. Hopefully she will continue to do well and make a full recovery.
We just bought the 3 Hartz flea collars for our 2 small rescue dogs and a recused cat. Are these unsafe as well. back in the 1970s and 80s we used to use flea collars without adverse reactions, are they different now? Are Hartz collars safe? Thanks very much. Philip NYC Area

I would appreciate you told us the reason this isn't recommended.

What about the millions of people including me that have been using it for many many years, without any problem??
Omg my dog bite the flea collar will he die
I wonder if the real problem is people ordering Chinese counterfeits online.
There is video comparing a legit to a fake one and the fake is really convincing.
