Thank you for this video, I will have to see if this helps once my dog recovers from surgery. He didn't have any incontinence before, so this is all new to me. Appreciate the information and holistic help!
Hello, my dog is a german shepherd and lab mix and she is about 8 years old. A 1month ago, she started to have incontinence-urine leaking. I bought pills for incontinence and gave it for about a week without any improvements. After a week we took her to vet and was diagnosed that she got ketoacidosis, diabetes. So she was prescribed for U-40 vetsulin injections with 16mg once a day (we are now giving in the morning 1 hour after eating). But currently, my dog has increased incontinence. She only used to leak urine overnight, but now she leaks during the day as well. We pee her every 2 or 3 hours but she still leaks. If you have any knowledge/experiences like this please let me know what would be the major problem. Is glucose not being controlled completely? Maybe the 15mg insulin is not enough dose for her? Any feedback would be a great help! Thanks!
Hello! This video is old but maybe someone can help answer my question? R the recommended items in the video ok for an in tact female pup to take? I’ve had so many tests done on my pup & all is normal except for tiny struvites. I’ve purchased various supplements & am starting her on a special diet recommended by her vet. I’m so worried for her as this isn’t normal. She does get to relieve herself several times a day, on walks & on Pee pads. She will use the pads when she has to, day or nite, so I don’t think it’s a behavioral issue but definitely incontinence. I’m at a loss as to what other tests to get done on her.
Hello Dr. Jones. Thank you sooooo much for generously sharing your knowledge. I don't think your videos are too long at all, especially as we get to look at all your lovely patients. Our male dog has begun to suffer incontinence. He has been to our vet and has been prescribed Proin. I would like to try the treatments you have suggested in your video. Can I try more than one treatment at a time, i.e., flax and soy isoflavins?
Tx for sharing. I think your videos at different lengths are good. Its good to have longer hot topics that need a lot or updates and then funny shorts and point specific short ones. Or put a time list on your videos so folks can jump around to what they need or watch the whole thing. Helpful info and does Tula take it? Give her a puppy hug from us. Blessings.
Dr. Jones, we really enjoy your videos. Our 10 yr old girl was recently spayed to help control her diabetes which was diagnosed 3 months ago. Would these plant based estrogen impact her diabetes management? Right after surgery she became incontinent and it’s been 2 weeks since surgery. Thank you for your 3 and 3 min tips
Could you do a video on bowel incontinence? My elderly dog hasn’t been making it to the doggie door fast enough. Usually she tries, but last night, in the middle of the night, it seemed like she didn’t even try to get up. I know it’s not her fault. I’m just wondering if there are ways to help the situation. You always seem to have good insight and at least one good suggestion. Thank you! I’ve come to rely on your videos for so many of my dog’s issues.
My dog was recently put on proin for leaking but she's gotten horrible diarrhea. Is this a common side affect and will it go away if her body gets used to the proin. And what are the long term side effects? My girl is only 9 and I am concerned. I think I will try one of your more holistic alternatives. Thank you so much for your videos. I reccomend your channel often!

I had a cat that would go crazy for corn silk when we shucked corn. He loved to eat it.
