tha;nk you for all your helpful information. My dog has pink stain anywhere she licks her fur. Is this a red yeast stain? I have been trying the product angel eyes and addding apple cider vinegar to her food and drinking water for about 2 weeks. Do you think this will help? What would you recommend to help? I have had this dog for 3 months and she was badly stained when I acquired her.
My dogs has really watery eyes they are not stained red just her fur around face is wet from her eyes watering. I think it's allergies will this help with that? Thanks.
i just love watching your videos ,especially the way you can tell you really do love animals ,it just beams off of you ,thanks so much for your time and info GBY

Hey. I hope you see this and are able to respond. I just got a new Australian shepherd puppy. 17weeks old. Up to date with shots and worming. Was kept in an outside pen since birth, until five days ag, when we brought him home to us. He eats well. Has good bm and urination. Very alert. Very active. All around wonderful, happy, self assured pup. But!!!! He can’t scratch his ears with his hind legs. He tries, but he can’t make contact between paw and ear. His leg goes too far out, and not towards his ears. This is both back legs. Took him to vet. Vet basically gave him an all clear, after many unnecessary tests! And HUGE VET BILL! With no explanation for what could be the cause. Should I be concerned? I trust your opinion. I have had many dogs in my lifetime. I have never seen this before. Not in dogs who should be able to scratch their ears with hind leg. I can trigger him to try and scratch, by tickling the hair tuffs coming off his ear. I have tried to help him reposition to touch his ear, but he stops scratching. Doesn’t seem to be in pain. He runs up our inside stairs. And jumps off the front porch and back deck. Plays all the time. I am truly conflicted if I should be concerned or not. He should be able to do this, and he NEEDS to be able to do this. I hope I am able to get your thoughts on this. Should I let it be. Or spend the money on more vets till someone figures out the cause. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO! I love your NATURAL approach to things! We need more like you. Thank you
I feed my dog a raw diet but he was still getting stains so instead of just straight up our well water, I fill up his water bowl from the filtered refrigerator dispenser. No more eye stains!
I use angel eyes but also hot compress, I’ll also keep his eye hairs carefully trimmed every two weeks. Being in the desert I think can aggravate situations fur friends can get allergies to.
Thank you Dr. My shih-tzu probably won't allow me to do this for 5mins 2x day. But we will try. My cat (Turkish Angora) recently started having this, it's random, not consistent. Would this work for her?
I heard you can use food grade hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip or Boiron borax 30c for the yeast infection. If they did have one, would there be other signs such as ear infection?
I swear my dog's eyes weep Crazy Glue! He gets thick, hard crusty stuff that has to be cut out of the fur (not like the other dogs whose "eye goobers" are soft and can be easily wiped away) and Scruffy is not nearly as cooperative as Dr. Jones' dog, so scissors near the eyes is always scary. I try to pick this stuff away daily, so it's not like it just builds up over time and dries in the air. Any ideas on what it is and how to deal with it would be much appreciated!
I have a 6lb blonde chihuahua and what I do is dilute hydrogen peroxide with warm purified water then it take a Qtip, dip it into the mixture, making sure to drain off excess and carefully dab gently around her tear stains. This really works great! I do mix plain yogurt into her kibbles once a week and she loves it ❤🐾✌
Thank you, my little girl has this issue. I've just been using distilled water so chlorine from tap water wouldn't burn her eyes if it did get in her eyes. But of course it doesn't get the stain at all it just cleans the crud off.
thank you this is so helpful! you seem to genuinely love these animals its so nice to see

Hi, Dr..thank you for you information, i have a senior shihtzu with eyes stains. My question is..which one to use?
I have a 6lb blonde chihuahua and what I do is dilute hydrogen peroxide with warm purified water then it take a Qtip, dip it into the mixture, making sure to drain off excess and carefully dab gently around her tear stains.

What helped my pups, reverse osmosis water.
Thank You so much Dr. Jones!

Good ol Pippy, Thanks Doc!
Chlorine dioxide cures it too.
10 fresh blueberries per day in their food work well too
Since changing my dogs diet and not feeding any kibble her eyes have cleared up. Dye in the crappie food?
