  2. Please don't post this horrible stuff Dr. Jones, it's very upsetting. Some people are very sickened by how some people can be so vile and treat animals as a product or object. I'm very disgusted and hurt at this video. There's really some horrible people in the world.

  3. Veterinary Secrets  Before shooting your mouth off and saying all chicken farmer are the same. You mister vet should know what you are talking about first. I myself have worked with chickens for years. Never has any of the chickens on this farm been mistreated in anyway. O yes by the way I am a vet as well.  The video makes us all sick. All the rules that a chicken farm has to go by are strict and fair for the welfare and care of a chicken. So the next time you want to shoot your mouth off about chicken welfare get your facts straight first and don't be so ignorant.

  4. Unfortunately, governments are well ware about the situation and is not in their best interest to stop animal cruelty. We need to step up and stop eating meat completely. All the antibiotics been used to race animals are causing illnesses such as cancer in our children and autism just to mentioned a few. The only way it will stop is if we do not buy any more meat, chicken or fish.

  5. When internet came around and I started to see stuff like this, animal meat stopped tasting good to me anymore. There is just no reason for such cruelty and suffering. It leaves me so heavy hearted. Thank you for covering this story. Knowledge is power!

  6. I was almost a vegan when I was pregnant with my first child. unfortunately everything changed after he was born. I had begun feeding my dog's natural Foods instead of store-bought kibble to help with their . I am torn between returning to a vegan lifestyle while making sure my dogs have enough calories and good fat to keep them healthy and at a good weight. It does burden my heart when I think about it as I'm preparing my dogs their food. at the same time I want the best that I can give to my doggies. The real reason I would not adopt any more dogs after mine pass would be because I do not want to buy any more meat. it makes me sad.

  7. Years ago, when my husband and I were working driving a truck, we would pick up eggs in the Midwest and haul them to California then bring produce back. One week, while waiting to get loaded at the egg "plant", I observed 2 men throwing dead chickens onto a large what looked like a garbage truck. When I asked my husband why they were doing that, he said that the chickens were molting and since they don't lay eggs while molting, they gas them and send them to a plant where they make dog and cat food. My first question was, " If the chickens are poisoned to death and this obviously makes the meat not fit for human consumption, then how is it OK to use it in pet food?"
Secondly, I wondered how long does a chicken live before it molts? Then as I was helplessly watching, some of the chickens were still alive, and escaping. One of the men had a 2×4 and was beating the chickens when he caught them and throwing them back in the truck. This was so disturbing to me I quit hauling eggs or meat, (the packing plants are another story). and eventually quit driving a truck altogether. But this is the egg business, when you buy eggs at the grocery store. I love eggs, and will get them from a neighbor who has backyard chickens and the eggs are fresh and no chickens were harmed in getting them. I realize that this is not possible for everyone but there are local farmers markets in most communities and if we all make an effort and do our part we can change these barbaric practices. The industry is only fulfilling the demand. No demand=No animal abuse.

  8. I have felt for a long time, that if we're prepared to eat meat, then we should be prepared to raise these creatures in a humane way. Most people won't understand that all creatures have feelings and basic needs. If more youngsters were allowed to get to know these animals better, by caring for them. In a safe clean calm loving environment , with chickens, start from taking care as the eggs hatch, learning more about animals from a young age growing together. Only then will things change for the better. As a young child growing up over here in the U.K. In Cheshire, I've seen how so many people put money before anything, leading to the exploitation of almost every animal. Their health and welfare doesn't enter most people's minds. I've watched good farmers who cared for their animals loose everything, simply because they couldn't compete with the bigger more commercial farms. That are no longer run by family's , instead by some big business company. Who have no intention to see how these animals live, to them it's all about how much money they can make you putting as little as they can into the rearing of these factory farm livestock. Not only that but they don't care about who they hire to "take care" of these poor creatures. It's a very sad world that is so motivated by money, and the welfare of these animals to some doesn't count for anything.
Sorry for the rant, but you've only got to look around and see what some people are doing to this planet and the wonderful creatures that have as much rights to be here as we do, yet we let them do as they will either out of fear or ignorance.
I hope that you and your family are all well, keep up your good work x

  9. This is not shocking at all. This is normal in factory farms and slaughterhouses. I don't understand how people have this idea that the animals that are being raised to be KILLED are treated nicely !!?!?? Animals that are raised for food, milk, leather, fur, animal testing ALL industries that exploit animals treat animals like shit! Obviously these 60 billion accounted for land animals raised for food each year are tortured and killed. People who care about their dogs and cats and pets in general should GO VEGAN so that you aren't being hypocritical and supporting speciesism. ALL ANIMALS DESERVE TO LIVE THEIR LIVES THEY ARE NOT HERE FOR US. #GOVEGAN

  10. Thank you for sharing Dr Jones! those evil doers must be exposed!!! these poor animals don't have a voice but we can be their voice. watching this video breaks my heart…😞 but the more we expose this demonic people hopefully people become aware of this cruelty and change their eating habits! We the social community love you and your family! 🐶❤🐶❤🐶❤🐸🐰🐹🐭🐱🐺🐶🐯🐨🐻🐷🐽🐮🐗🐧🐼🐘🐑🐴🐒🐵🐦🐤🐣🐔🐢

  11. Yep. This sort of mistreatment is going on right across the meat industry in all countries. That's why I'm vegan, which is healthy too if done right and gets easier with practice. Thanks for doing the video Dr Jones.

  12. That's so disgusting. I hate animal abusers. Their eternal souls are gonna end up in hell for their inhumane, callous behavior, and I hope they are punished to the fullest extent by the law. I try really hard to never buy factory farmed of any type of meat. Only organic, free range, grass fed, healthier for you too.

  13. I don't care if it's a Human, or an Animal, they Need, and Should be "Treated", with Dignity !!!!!! God "Created" us All, in His Image.Karma will serve it's JUSTICE, on All !!!!!!

  14. Hey cool, I am from BC too, Vancouver Island. The chicken clips made me cry, it hurts my heart. I quit eating all animal products over two years ago, and never have I felt healthier and happier. I have spent countless hours hanging out with chicken flocks, and they are some of the funniest, most personable birds I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with. Each have personalities of their own, and things to teach us about chicken life. My only "use" for chickens is for their fertilizer and pest control in the garden. Lovely animals.

  15. Humans are simply – sick and twisted. To some, it is just a job, others use it as a fun way to do their job. Until humans learn to treat animals with respect we will never know peace on this Earth. I see the same with cattle, pigs, horses, dogs, cats,… If we didn't see the few stories shown on animal abuse most people would never see it as a problem. 98% of abuse is never seen…. Thanx Dr Jones, and peace to ALL life.

  16. Knew I shouldn't have watched.WHEW! At the same time these images are necessary to drive these issues home. I have chosen to live as a vegetarian for such reasons. but please understand this is a personal choice and I most certainly do not judge those who enjoy meat in their diet. I encourage people to lessen the consumption. try eliminating meat from 1 or 2 meals a week. Definitely limit fast food take out as all their meats are "cheap Meats".Thank you for bringing these things to our attention Dr. Andrew and please keep us updated. Your looking very Handsome by the way. lol thought a positive thread was necessary. Enjoy your weekend. 🌼🌸🐩
